Good old Admin Topic

Good for you.  I know many owners would be ****** at having a 2-0 series lead just wiped out because Admin effed up.  But in the future, if I want your ******** opinion, I'll give it to you.

Yes. Many would. And they'd be dumber than a bag of bricks, much like you.

Actually, I take that back. I just asked a bag of bricks about this, and they said it was a dumb thread. Sorry.

Call it morbid fascination, but I'm interested to hear your explanation of how being upset over having a 2-0 series lead wiped out makes someone "dumb".  Apparently getting upset/frustrated with something is proof of a diminished intellectual capacity.

Unless you're as intelligent as a snail (sorry, bad example), you know the playoffs are going to be wiped out before they start.

So why get wound up about something you know is going to happen?

Your complaint is poor customer service. Agreed.

Your reasoning is borderline psychotic.

Wait...the shrub outside just chimed in. "jtstunned is dumb as a bag of bricks". I had to correct it.
8/16/2010 1:39 PM
No, my argument is once Admin let's the playoffs start, they should find an alternate solution...or at least find a way to just wipe out one series, so the legit ones don't get screwed over.

I get what you're saying...but if I was in that situation, it would still **** me off that Admin doesn't have their act together.  If you say that makes me dumb, so be it.  Not like I really base any of my life around internet users' opinions of me.

Though with all your talking shrubs and bricks, you may want to seek some professional help.

I can understand the nervousness some people had when the playoffs started with the incorrect bracket seeding, it is only natural.  Perhaps the people involved had not been a part of a league before where admin had to manually place the playoff teams.  While these leagues are not common, they do exist.  Once it  became apparent the playoffs would start incorrectly, a good league commisioner would have sitemailed all members of the league and posted in the league message board that it appeared the playoffs would start incorrectly stating:

A)  he would reach out to admin again
B)  the games would not count
C)  thank them for their patience.

One of the jobs of the commisioner to to maintain order.  Did this happen here?

A very strange over reaction especially considering admin was doing the commisioner a favor

SpotSell...I sent admin 3 tickets and continually kept my league posted on the league wall.  That was not an issue.

And Admin is not doing me a favour by NOT doing their job.  Are you part of the front office here?
8/16/2010 2:38 PM
So you continually kept your league posted saying:

A) the games would not count
B) the games would count (contrary to league rules)
C) nothing whether or not the games would count (bad commisioner)

I am comfortable saying you handled this terribly.  A good commisioner lays out the rules and consequenses, in advance.  You should have laid out - in advance - what would be the consequenses when it became apparent the playoffs would start incorrectly, contrary to league rules.

Does anyone agree with you in this thread?  Doesn't that tell you anything?

No one in this thread + a bag of bricks + a shrub.

It's near unanimous.

You, booger and death are the only others in here, so I'd hardly call that an overwhelming sample. In fact, that company makes me feel more confident.

And no, I didn't inform my league the games wouldn't count because I didn't know Admin's policy at the time.  Hence my initial post in this thread.

I informed my league that I'd notified Admin and Admin said they'd make the switch...they never did.  I can't speak for Admin's impending actions when I've never encountered the situation before.

You feel comfortable all you want...that's why you're not in any of my leagues.  And after this, you never will be.

OK, you did not know whether or not Admin could or would restart the playoffs.  That is perfectly understandable if you have not run into this situation before.  Here is your critical mistake.  Once it became apparent the playoffs would start, contrary to league rules, you should have sitemailed all league owners saying that you really had no idea what admins policy was (being straightforward and honest with your league mates) but that you would point out to admin that the best solution would be for no games to count since these playoffs started contrary to league rules and that the playoffs should be reset with the correct seeding to follow league rules.  This way, reagrdless If admin honored or did not honor the request to follow league rules you would have been honest and straightforward at all times with your leaguemates.

Instead, you through up your hands and did not lead - letting the playoffs proceed contrary to league rules.

I get it, nobody likes to be told they messed up.  I won't tell you again.  Who started the thread looking for approbation?
8/16/2010 4:26 PM
Oh no!
I won't be in any of jt's leagues!
8/16/2010 4:32 PM
Wow...all this for a small human error. This is why I'm glad I'm not in charge.

I once took a crap and it came out like ribbon candy.
