'74 Gene Tenace. There's really no reason not to use him or '75 Gary Carter unless you're doing something special - they throw of 50% of baserunners and can bat 8th/9th fairly comfortably.

e by "something special" i mean looking specifically for a good offensive catcher = 1996 Todd Hundley, 1891 Jocko Milligan, maybe some others. Oh, 1968 Johnny Bench hits a truckload of doubles and has a great arm, pity about the .330 OBP.

i'm looking at both good defensivly Charles Johnson(atleast he has some pop) or Matt Walbeck (terrible average)

It was between 1893Jack Clements or a Randy Hundley(super D). This time I went with the O (Jack Clements) instead of the D just to experiment and see what happens.
