Most under-achieving hitter in sim. Topic

The high walk/high hr hitters tend to underperform unless their hr/ab+ is ridiculous.

Barry Bonds '04 (L) RF* 692 447 28 72 0 .300 .545 .550 16.44M

From the same team:

Randy Winn '05 (S) CF* 287 266 26 82 0 .335 .373 .726 4.32

No offense, but it's analysis like this that makes this game so darn easy.

Morgan always seems to suck. Actually, a lot of Cincinnati guys (with the exception of Frank Robinson) tend underperform. I just put '61 Pinson on my personal "never again" list.

It seems like guys that have high averages, but don't walk, and guys like Bonds who walk a ton, never work out the way you would want.

Is anyone really suggesting those are decent stats for the most expensive ($/PA) full-season batter in the sim? Yeah, I see the walks and the high OBP. 1899 John McGraw gets you that too, at about half the price.

I guess when you already own a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
Yes I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.
