87 Cardinals do not belong in the discussion. Jack Clark injured and didnt play, Pendleton could only bat LH and Dan Dreissen was batting cleanup platooning w/ Jim Lindeman, enough said.

You had the fifth highest payroll in the NL. Which ranked ninth overall.

Five of the six lowest payroll teams were in the NL.

Three teams in your division had wins of 118, 109 and 106.

My team was 3-11 against you. Eight of my eleven losses, my team was torched for 9+ runs.

No interleague.

I only had one good pitcher in Ken Holtzman. He went 2-1 against you in his four starts. In his no decision game, my team ended up losing 3-2.

My team only had 4200 actual AB. In most games against your team, I was mostly using my AAA chumps.
I saved most of my real player AB against my divisional opponents. Trying to play the spoiler role, in which I did. LOL

Bottom line is, your team was not nearly as good as the record indicates. You had a fine season and should be happy that you had the third lowest payroll in your division and still came away winning your division by nine games.
