I just joined my first and I am seeing it is stuck. There are 15 in. Since I have been in it seems that 3 or four people have bailed while 3 or 4 people have joined. If you were in that league maybe you (4 or 5) could jump back in and put the league close.

Whats a Champs league?

I quit enjoying them because of the fatigue strategies.

I hope to return to them if/when they fix that.

i quit playing because they take so long to fill. the last one i was in took almost a whole sim season to fill up.

I haven't joined becasue of the PA minimum, the lack of variety, and the slow fill time. some of the theme leagues are more interesting and the competition is almost as good.

I refuse to play until they remove the PA and Inn minimums. Stupidest thing this site has ever done. Used to have 6 teams or more going at once all the time and now I only play 1 at a time. Why in the hell do we need training wheels on (PA and IP minimums) in a Champs League. With as many championships as it takes to get in I think we all know how to draft a team to not run out. STUPID.

Because it was supposed to stop the fatigue strategies that so many of us hate.

My $$$. My strategies. Trying to beat all of the strategies including fatigue is what made this site fun. What If....

I would like to see AAA players done away with in Champs Leagues. Draft your team with no PA or IP minimums...keep the WW rules the way they are and have at it.

If you want to draft 900 IP and/or 4000 PA...its up to you.

I like that... never been a fan of AAA, especially in Champs leagues...

There's something vaguely ironic about this thread in which many of the greatest WIS champions are discussing the pros and cons of Champs Leagues, which are fast becoming moribund. A great intellectual exercise, but it's fast becoming a moot point, isn't it? Sort of like discussing whether the dinosaurs had healthy eating habits...

This is intended as an observation, not a criticism. Guess the consensus is that a combination of fewer WIS players, a tight economy and the ubiquity of the fatigue strategy killed the Champs League concept. Hope WIS comes up with a replacement, and I guess for now most WIS champions focus mainly on competing in theme leagues and progressives.

Too many players? Economy? Have you seen the WIS Champioship? Seems like their are plenty of people out there. Coming from a guy that only recently tried to join his first "Open" League (Champs League actually) I think they need to get rid of the Mins and let people who join the league pick their strategy and lower the "Champs Requirement" to 3. Once you win 3, you are officially on your way to knowing what to do around here.
