Trump Tower Fire Death Update: Trump Lobbied Against Proposal to Make Sprinklers Mandatory

President Donald Trump previously lobbied against a proposed bill requiring high-rise buildings, like Trump Tower, to install life-saving sprinkler systems. A fire in his 5th Avenue building Saturday, with no sprinklers present, left one person dead and multiple firefighters injured.

Then one of New York’s most prominent real estate developers, Trump in 1999 rang city officials to argue against proposed legislation that would have required high-rise landlords to install the systems following fatal high-rise fires in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The December 1998 blazes killed nine people, including seven firemen.

Trump Sons' Private Trip To Dubai Cost $73,000 Or More Of Taxpayer Money

A private trip to Dubai by President Donald Trump’s sons has so far cost U.S. taxpayers at least $73,000, CBS News reports.

The money covered expenses incurred by members of a Secret Service detail for hotel rooms and car service during the trip from March 26 to April 8, according to purchase orders viewed by CBS.

The trip had nothing to do with government business. Donald Trump Jr. and his brother Eric met with “the team at Trump International Golf Club, Dubai,” a representative told CBS in a statement.

He's got 7 years to build a wall.... until then:

WASHINGTON — The National Guard will deploy a handful of troops to the U.S.-Mexico border beginning Friday night, according to three U.S. officials, the first step in President Donald Trump’s plan to station a few thousand troops at the border to curb illegal immigration. The troops will arrive in the next 24 to 48 hours, according to a senior defense official.

A Pentagon memo about the deployment calls for up to 4,000 troops from border states to be assigned through Sept. 30.

Just a heads up, he’s got less than three years and that wall is never getting built.

I hope you're right about less than 3 years, but the American public was stupid enough to elect a lying, con artist, sexists bully once. Why would you think they won't do it again? Did they get smarter all of the sudden?

Honestly? 2016 was a fluke.

It took a perfect storm of an unpopular Dem candidate, sour grapes/Bernie non-voters (or 3rd party protest voters), and an FBI letter from Comey right before he election to swing it to Trump and he still almost lost.

Those things (probably) won’t happen again and now people have been able to experience the actual Trump presidency instead of the Trump presidency in theory.

There’s no way he wins again.
