I am not actually convinced this is the best Kawhi season. If it weren’t for the 95% at PG, 16 would be better than 17. Depending on the defense of your PG, either choice could be better.

The combination of extra usage, extra passing and better positional flexibility makes him a bit sexier to me.

(Although without Giannis already in play you don’t necessarily need any of those things)

For me, using Kawhi as a second banana, I would rather have the slight efg bump over the usg bump. I’d rather have the lower to% over the slight ast bump (as long as you can get enough ast with other positions). To me the only real advantage is that 17 can guard PGs. That balances the scales and I think it depends on your other players.
