I'm 46-26 in the last 12 cycles. If I keep this up I have a chance to make up enough ground for the cage, but may need to go on a hot streak realistically to pull it off. 20 games back right now between myself and the cage.

My memory is really bad - but what’s the furthest anyone has seen someone jump from playoff runs? I’ve currently got 3 teams with legit shots and 2 with an outside shot.

IF I was able to get 5 teams into the playoffs, and make it out of the 1st round in all 5 - is that enough to jump from 50’s into cage? Or is 5-10 spots the more likely jump?

I had 5 get in, only 1 advanced beyond 1st round. I backed up 8 spots.

You would need to do very well to jump much more than 10-15 spots. A little luck might help too...

At 50 you'd be hard pressed to get 5 in. Many have at least a few good teams. Most won't get more than 4 in. This is a very competitive field.

There are a few hiding in the weeds...back in the 40's-60's in the standings are a few that project to place 3-4 teams into the playoffs. They could potentially move way up with a big postseason...

I don’t know that we’ve ever tracked such a thing, but I may very well be on my way to a record for the most schwarzes for a sub-.500 finish. I’m at 7 or 8 schwarzes (including an opening cycle schwarze). Even had a 6-0,5-1,6-0 day (just missing the 18gsp), but have only had one stretch of 162 games with a better than .500 record and currently sit 34 games under .500 overall. Each team has shown promise and had stretches of 8-15 W streaks, but they also mostly lose when they’re not streaking.

I'm projected 3, of the 3 not currently projecting for playoffs, one is 8 back of the division and had severely underperformed (imo at least). Hoping I can pick up some ground in the upcoming divisional games. Another is 8 back of the WC (also in my division) and have been playing really well the last 162. If I can do well in divisional games I feel like I'll have a shot. The last team not projected has also been playing better (winning 15 of last 20) - but we're still 14gb and not likely to overcome the gap between me and bester and mensu
