That's where the hypocrisy comes in. Gun owners are a large portion of the Republican right-wing base. Everyone understands that. So a small amount of pandering from the moderates is needed to keep your base (same with Socialist programs on the left). And Obama as a legislator in Illinois (where guns are kind of a problem) didn't do a damn thing there... so save your Obama tears stories...

Ya wanna solve this? Get rid of lobbyists and campaign donations. We have an Internet. Messages can be sent out FREE. Why do we let candidates collect money from special interest groups, when all they're doing is buying influence? Make all candidates open their books, and get lobbyist money and foreign money (which are essentially bribes and graft) OUT OF OUR ELECTIONS.

I agree with her. Trump should not be blamed for these mass shootings. He should be blamed (as should Obama) if he does nothing to try to stop them.

How about the part where the shooter was a Warren fan? As some of us have been trying to say, BOTH Parties have crazies in them, and crazies are going to do what crazies do. Heck, many of these threads are great proof of that.

OK... BUT the El Paso shooting was POLITICALLY MOTIVATED.

We don't blame Warren because (as far as I know) the Dayton shooter wasn't motivated by his love for Warren. The El Paso shooter was politically motivated.

This is pure whataboutism and false equivalency.
