She said she didn't like Trump's tone and that she broke down when Trump fumbled her husband's name.

The president "said that 'he knew what he signed up for, but it hurts anyways,'" Johnson recounted. "It made me cry, because I was very angry at the tone of his voice and couldn't remember my husband's name."

She described herself as "very, very upset and hurt. It made me cry even worse."

Personally, I'd like the leader of the free world to have at least a little compassion. I haven't seen any evidence that Trump has any.

That's because you're a lib. Libs are emotional and don't like when their feelings get hurt. I totally understand why you'd personally want Trump to have compassion.

Me personally... I think feelings are for *******, way overrated. In fact an emotional person rarely makes rational decisions. Think about it... When you're angry you say things you regret, when you're in love you miss all the obvious signs your friends and family members have been pointing out to you, when you're afraid you won't take a necessary risk. Am I wrong?

My wife, a lib, is all about hearing "I'm sorry" when things go wrong... I tell her I don't want to hear I'm sorry... I want an action plan. How will this not happen again?

Compassion. Every human ever born has had, at some point in their life, compassion.

To make a blanket statement that so and so has no compassion is both ignorant and lazy in thought and reflection.

It's compassionate to alleviate an immediate human suffering.

It's even more compassionate to apply the effort and sweat and blood and money and resources to repair and solve the situation.

It's ignorant and lazy to kick the can down the road. If you promised to fix something in 1932 or 1965, and you haven't, and it only gets worse, that's not compassion. Not having a budget in over 10 years is not compassion. A President who spitefully rips away the opportunity for young black children to get a better education and force them into centers of failure against their parents will for a cheap political sop to the the teachers union is not compassion. To repeatedly return to the undeniably failed policy of tax and spend is less than compassionate. It is cruel and inhuman. And for what? Just so you can deny you were wrong? The thinking of the left to deny their failure is spiteful, destructive and crudely obstinate to the point of being in-compassionate.

Stop walking away from problems and fix one for a change.

Whether or not Trump’s inability to competently handle a call to a military widow matters, he certainly loses the high ground to the players kneeling.

He needs to shut the **** up about respecting the troops, forever.

You sound like you're a lot of fun to live with. Saying your sorry when you do something wrong, does not preclude trying to fix whatever it is. There's nothing wrong with accepting responsibility when you made a mistake. More people should do that instead of always trying to pass the blame, or bring up that so and so did something similar in the past (sound familiar, Trump supporters?)

If having compassion and feelings makes me a liberal, so be it. I guess I'd rather be a liberal than an unfeeling, insensitive *******.

Never saying sorry is just a weird position for Trump/moy to take. Everyone ***** up once in a while.

If Trump is accused of being disrespectful and insensitive to Johnson and he comes out and says something along the lines of, "it's an incredibly difficult call to make and I only meant to show respect and gratitude for the sacrifice Johnson made, I'm sorry for not conveying that well," not only does this whole thing go away in 2 seconds, but people on TV would be literally tripping over themselves to call him presidential and a good leader and saying how this completely changes the narrative*.

*those people would be wrong, it would change nothing, Trump would still be an incompetent assclown.
