Guys sometimes not committing abortion is suicide.

Had this discussion with my wife while we were chatting. She said that she still would make the choice not to have an abortion even if her life was in jeopardy. I also read an article the other day about a mother who was diagnosed with cancer while she was pregnant. The treatments would have killed the baby. She elected not to be treated. She died, they removed the baby and it survived. I have all the respect in the world for that lady. What a selfless act. She put her baby over herself even though it wasn't even born yet. It's the same thing as when a father jumps in front of a bullet to save his kid. He didn't commit suicide, but he did sacrifice his life for his child.

And that's OK. But if a parent does not want to have that situation, that is OK too. Yes, it may be the moral high ground to do that, but you wouldnt force the dad to take a bullet.

I would agree with you. However, in the end it should not be illegal for the father to NOT do that.

I agree, but I do think the legality of abortion is different. You are willingly, knowingly taking the life of a human. What's crazy to me is abortion is legal, but assisted suicide is not. Another double standard. In one case, the baby probably doesn't want to die. In the other, the person has made their own choice. I personally think both should be illegal, but just saying
