I never look at this thread until after I've done my grid.

Well, I blew today's grid on my first square. Apparently perennial Gold Glove winner Bobby Grich stopped winning them as soon as he got to the Angels. And here I was so excited to drop his name in there. Well after that, I didn't particularly care anymore and just got it done. Congrats to Frank White, I guess.
I was pleased to drop in a previous Angels 2B there...the immortal Bobby Knoop

Blew mine on the last square when I got it in my head that Randy Velarde might have been a Giant late in his career,

Turned out he hadn’t, haha

I'm surprised Mike Trout never won a GG. Always seems to be listed as A/A in WIS.

That is crazy, especially given the fact Joey Gallo has won 2!

Today is the first time I tried this. Hit 9 of 9 with a 108 score. Is that good?

Genuinely surprised at how common my Angels row was. I thought I was cooking. 44 today

I chose an Angels Gold Glove winner under 1%.

Good call on Phil Nevin! I figured everyone would choose Tatis Jr.

I got a 40HR/GG winner at .2% unfortunately i blew the Cards GG winner of all things!

I got three players at 1% or less. I picked Bonds before I realized the goal was to get a low score.

Mize 0.7% (StL/SF)
G.Richards 1% (Ana/SD)
Bob Boone 1% (Angels GG)

And yet was overall defensive player of the year one time.

People play this with a wide range of scoring goals. The main one is probably to try to go as low as possible by making the most obscure correct picks for each square. You'll see a lot of people aiming for single digits.

Other people I see on Twitter actually try for the highest score while still filling out every square (you get a 100-point penalty for any wrong answers, so you don't want a 900 that way!) by trying to guess the most common responses.

Others just hope not to muck the thing up and don't care about the score. They remember a player they like who fits a square and are excited to see his name and face pop up.

Found an error when reviewing the summary. Jeff Bagwell is listed under the 40 HR and Gold Glove season but he hit 39 HRs in 1994, the only year he won a GG.
