Good luck cashing in reward points. Topic

I would have had my account closed by now, what with all the nasty support tickets.

LOL...Maybe I should strap on my inflatable muscles and freak out Kahuna-style on them!

Oh, things are that bad yet. Wait until Support totally demolishes you for months like I did to that buffoon.

Then, you're good to go.

With the way things have been going for me in the playoffs lately, I half suspect WIS has checked the "playoff disaster" box on my account!

Likewise.

I spent years as a customer service manager in catalog sales, and I can tell you a well-run company recognizes that it costs a lot more to attract a new customer than to keep a current one. Several weeks ago, a half-decent company would have sent you a couple of classic teams at least, and one interested in being perceived as valuing its customers would have done more. And to deny your request to return the points to you borders on fraud.

The only argument against giving you some compensation is the fear that they'd be flooded with requests for free teams. The answer to that one is simple: Generate a list of every owner who has been waiting beyond six weeks for rewards, and give each one free team. Send a sitewide message out trumpeting this excellent customer service and apologizing for the inconvenience, and whatever minimal cost that generates will be dwarfed by the good will.

I recall, way back in the olden times, TK once handed out a TON of free teams. I can't recall why, but the good will that was generated went a long way and made some of us loyal and longtime customers who've spent more money on this site than we probably should have. TK has also been more than generous when he's been here in Chicago.

Now, Support would just as soon dump all over us and ignore the best interests and fair requests of the customers of this once great site. Shameful.

I remember that also... I don't remember what it was for, but I thought it was a fairly minor issue and he gave out free teams to most, if not every active, user.

When my wife was first diagnosed with leukemia and after she passed away he got in touch with me and even offered teams to help serve as an escape from the seriousness of real life. When he then found out I was working on finishing and publishing the book my wife started, he put me in touch with someone over at Harper Collins to help out. Our only interaction prior to that was through this site. He is a top notch guy who truly cared about his customers.

Definitely a sad day for WIS and customer service when TK was let go.
