jj, i don't think your team is an overwhelming favorite like a couple of Brandeis teams that I can remember, at least one of which lost early. I just think there is no other obvious guy to put the onus of "favorite" on. Plus, your guys kicked my butts this year.

Sorry to put a stop to the Arcadia lovefest, but I gotta show some love to my conference mate Norm and his Maranatha Baptist squad. Ranked #2 in both the polls and RPI. Went undefeated in the #4 rated conference. Oh, and then there's the little fact about being the defending national champion.

Although looking at that Arcadia team, they ARE gonna be tough to beat.

crap, I fell into what I consider the hardest division. 1st rd against wronoj and which ever one of us wins that then faces either taz or barjaz, both of whom are very good coaches, and that's only the first 2 rounds.

good point wronoj and i'd prefer to not have the bullseye anyway...there are 3-5 teams that look stellar now that the seeds are out...

i definitely did not mean to sound cocky about my team - but i think they clearly deserved the #1 overall seed...it would be hard to make a case against them...here's hoping i do better with the #1 seed overall this time compared to having it last year and pulling a UC and losing in round two

not sure how i was able to handle you so well this season BC yet have problems with others...good luck in the NT tho

Well, we snuck in as a 14-seed, and the prize is Hood, who beat us by 30 this year already (in an exhibition). The bracket is brutal.

thanks. pretty psyched to have made it-- this is 9 NTs in a row, and next year we are looking at a down season, so really needed this one.

So the 9 seed in my bracket has a 598 overall rating and 11 seniors...sucks to be Maranatha Baptist...

I actually kinda like my draw. At least as far as getting to the Sweet 16 is concerned. Ended up in what I guess would be the easiest of the four regions. Not so sure if I can get past Worcester St. if the matchup happens, but I like my chances to make at least a little noise in the tournament. That is, of course, if Scott Mayo doesn't turn to crap on me as he tends to do at the worst possible times.

I'm sure by speaking I'm jinxing myself and will get blown out by 30 in the 1st round. Kinda works that way sometimes.

I seriously hate this game sometimes. No way I should lose to that team...

Also, has anyone noticed a ridiculous trend with regard to first half/second half fouls?

Well I got my work cut out for me, up next I face the #5 all time winningest NT coach, Taz21. if some how I get by him then more then likely I'll have to face the #3 all time coach nfentre and if I get by him the #8 all time NT coach jjboogie should be next...lol. If I can make it to the Final Four, that should be a piece of cake.

Not to mention my first round game was against wronoj, to me any NT game is hard but if you face great coachs like the ones above it seems to mean more. In all likely hood I won't make it out of this round against Taz21 but its fun to look at the road I would have to take to get my first NT.

i'd be thrilled to make it that far but it looks like my team peaked early...we are not shooting well or rebounding well...

Herbert Lane - Conference POY with an 89 REB, A+ IQ, and 60+ ATH has exactly 3 rebounds in the past 2 games...scary stuff...
