Yes. Let's pretend that public opinion of trump won't matter when he's facing an opponent that everyone doesn't also hate.
So everyone hated ALL the 14 other GOP candidates? People hated Rubio? Please show proof.

Really, because the economy is essentially the same as it has been for the last 3 years.
Nope

The US recorded its slowest economic growth in five years in 2016, as poor trade data dragged on the economy in the fourth quarter.

The recovery remains steady, rather than spectacular -- Annualized Q2 2017 GDP growth 3%

The US economy is expected to continue growing steadily over the next few years, outpacing many other western countries.

This is what haters keep missing. Trump has been underestimated by everyone who he's run against.

BL was rooting for Trump in the primaries, why? Because he thought Trump was a slam dunk victory for the Dems.

Primaries aren't the same as the general election. If Trump had had to face one GOP opponent on one primary election day for all the states and the nomination, he would have lost.

And yes, I did think Trump = slam dunk for Dems. I vastly underestimated the stupidity of the electorate.

Seeing that you were an unabashed Hillary supporter, I agree 100% with your assessment of the stupidity of the electorate.

Sure. That's what got us Trump. It wasn't that he connected in some sort of magical way with voters. He wasn't a popular candidate. People didn't really want to vote for him. But they didn't want to vote for Clinton either, and, because of the way the votes broke down in WI/MI/PA, he won.

He won't be so lucky in 2020.

Ahhh, this is the interesting part. If, in three years, the domestic economy is strong(er), health care is handled adequately, international trade is calm, and all of the military/terrorist threats are muted... why would you want Trump out of office? This is the dilemma for the liberals. Yes, he's an arrogant and pompous and contentious (and likely dangerous) leader, but if you want to unseat him, you have to root for a weak(er) economy and international strife. Not a real popular position.

He filled stadiums! Filled them. Every other candidate could only dream of doing that. These supporters didn't come out and fill stadiums because they disliked Hillary, or any of the republicans. It's because they want to see Trump. All these make America great again hats are being sold not because these people love the RNC.... They buy them because they love Trump. stop listening to CNN and start using your eyes (outside of your liberal California bubble).
