Trump is a disruptive force. He's a contractor. He will break these guys down (which takes time) and then build them back up just like he does when he tears down buildings. It's quite enjoyable to watch these guys scramble in Congress. They don't know what to do... No one does, Dems out Republicans. That's why Teflon Trump continues to bulldoze them.

While I like poking at the liberals on this site, the fact that he's been a "do nothing" President remains.

Truth is, Trump goes to bed every night saying the same thing Obama said every night for 8 years. "Man, if everybody would just do what I want them to do, I could get some things done."

Lemonade stand operators do a better job of negotiating.

He's not a contractor. He's a guy who licenses his name to buildings and steaks and water bottles.

He just took the worst deal (politically) on the debt ceiling. Though I do agree with him that the debt ceiling should be eliminated.

Gorsuch was the most important thing he's done, and will be no matter what else he does.

He's also dismantled (in 8 months) just about everything Obama did (in 8 years).

Also, there are a lot of high paying jobs coming back to the USA. Foxconn (an iPhone manufacturer) is bringing jobs to Wisconsin and soon other states. Remember when Trump said he'll bring iPhone jobs back to the USA? Amazon is looking for another major headquarters as well. Many other stories like this and many more to come.

I'd like him to do more but it's only been 8 months and really he still in break these guys down mode. Trump's trying to break the sluggish pace that Congress as a whole operates at (Washington as usual). He accepted the Dems offer the other day because he's showing the republicans that he's done wasting time waiting for them to get their **** together... As is the American public.

But let's not pretend a Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio or damn near everybody but Hillary/Bernie could have gotten Gorsuch appointed.

He's not done much other than presided over the most investigation Administration in history. Not saying that's his fault but negativity has DOMINATED his Presidency.

The reason it seems like he's been in office for longer than 8 months is the constant media barrage about his tweets, his hair, his wife, his kids.... pretty much everything about him except his actual accomplishments (which are damn near nil).

Most presidents have a newlywed phase with the public (where they learn the job during their first year), followed by a year or two of trying to get something done, followed by a year of campaigning for re-election based on what they actually did during the year or two they tried to get something done.

Trump didn't get the newlywed phase. He went right into the combat-the-liberal-media phase followed by the combat-the-Korean-nutjob phase followed by the combat-the-flood-and-hurricane-aftermath phase. The funny thing is that the more obstacles he hurdles, the more comfortable the general public (note that I didn't say media or liberal whackjobs) gets with his ability to manage the crises. In other words, if he makes it through this first year unscathed, we're gonna get stuck with him for seven more.

I don't think Cruz or Marco win a general election against Hillary. They are too soft, like Mitt Romney was.

Negativity would have dominated ANY Republican Presidency in this day and age. The news is strongly biased to the left. Do you honestly think they would have reported any more positively had Cruz been in office? The only difference is Trump fights back against the dishonesty so much to the point where polling shows more Americans believe the media is more dishonest than Trump... The rest of the republicans (including Cruz) would have just cowered.

A) I don't think he'll want a 2nd term
B) I don't think it matters because there's no way he'd get re-elected
