Can I get a yes or no to my question?
Can I?
Do Presidents get 7 month or 4 year terms?
They get 4.
Do you think he will do any of the three things I listed?
ACA will be dismantled. Possibly replaced with an equally ****** legislation that does not address the cost of health care.
Mexico wall has been a pipe dream that no sane person thought would happen.
If there is some level of tax reform, and I do think some laws will change, we'll just bicker over the meaning of "major".
I'm just trying to get you on record.
You think the ACA will be dismantled? What parts?
Preexisting condition coverage? Basic services requirements? Individual mandate? Those are the big three. I'd guess they all stay, or at least they outlive Trump's presidency.
--- Definition of a full time employee will be amended.
--- They can definitely amend the individual mandate.
--- Eliminate employer mandate
--- Preexisting condition coverage will be there as an option not requirement and obviously cost more.
--- Higher HSA contributions
--- Amend the definition of Essential Health Benefits
I think the GOP does something like this. Giving more choices to individuals and exempting businesses from forced insurance placement.
The "GOP" can't get legislation of this import passed at any time in the near future (years)...
The main reason is every one of the "changes" you THINK will be amended are either way too popular to touch or are vital to the basic necessities of an insurance pool that is sustainable (like the mandate!)
The GOP will NOT amend the definition of a full time employee any time soon.
The individual mandate will stay, though they may try to fool with the penalty amount.
Employer requirements to insure their employees will stay.
The very idea that Pre-existing condition clauses will return to insurance policies is laughable. The public would never stand for it.
The last two items you mention will most likely be tampered with, assuming the GOP collaborates with some Dems to get it done.
Can't do it on their own.
