That's his most famous one, but he's got a few that I like even better: Neighbors, Killing Time, Being Invisible.

She is only 50 years younger than you.

i watched first episode of black mirror tonight...it is a brilliant british show that has a modern twilight zone/outer limits feel.......crazystengle is the resident expert on all things kafka.....kafka as an adjective can be bandied about like we talk about the weather but i think it is really fair to say that this extremely disturbing story is kafka in the age of no privacy.......it crosses a line into the land of the new monsters and new terror..........no one is safe. and nothing is real.....

Neighbors was a decent flick, pretty much forgotten now. The novel it was based on, by Thomas Berger, is a terrific read. Sort of a slapstick Kafka story.
Slapstick Franz Kafka, eh? So what are we talking about, an existential comedy?

I would describe it as comedy that proceeds according to the logic of anxiety dreams. Which, depending on the author, can be played for lighter laughs (Berger) or darker (Kafka).
