Pastor Joel Osteen apparently refused to help victims of Hurricane Harvey, the storm that killed at least five people, injured more than a dozen and displaced tens of thousands of people. How dare a Pastor take action to try to preserve the safety of his church's members.

How much more rain was forecast for that general area when the announcement was made? Oops, that would be a fact, and you never worry about letting those get in the way of a lame rant.

"Preserve the safety of his church members." What does that even mean???

One is assuming he felt they would try to actually attend a service thus putting themselves in danger.

Pretty weak, as he could have canceled services in order to provide shelter to those in need, but that's what he meant. But, mostly, he didn't want filthy, wet folk in his shrine.

Since you all have so much spare time, you should put it to good use by researching what this man and his church have done.
