my cousin turned me on to a new netflix show called FAUDA ( chaos )......israeli show...kind of like homeland...i watched the first episode...thrilling...harrowing.......palpable feeling of being there.......after one episode highly recommended.

So........... this thread will then be "One hand clapping..."? Or maybe "Alter Ego" ( conversations with self)...........

Define sitcom...Monty Python Flying Circus is comedy but not a sitcom...South Park the same. Since you asked the question, please give a brief definition.

One other thing, why have this thread do what the other thread you "perioded" out was doing? Since this thread has a history of bad blood (and the other one did not at all,) it seems strange that this is the one that continues.

im surprised by get smart.......seinfeld belongs on any top 5 but i think i like taxi better because of andy kaufman...i put the munsters in there because of belly laughs...i am a sucker for classic slapstick.

this is my long time thread and i hate what it degenerated into...i wanted a fresh start for this thread with a mission statement...this will be a hate free thread...there are 6 or 7 other threads set up for politics....you dont need this space too.
sitcom stands for situation comedy.....comedy shows comprised of an ensemble cast set in an every day life situation.....johnny carson and smothers brothers and monty python are not sitcoms.

also it would gall me for what i consider to be a boring hate filled thread to continue under my name.
i love pop culture so this is my new destination.

lol, yeah I knew what sitcom stood for. The Munsters is, to me, not a sitcom so that's why I asked.

why is the munsters not a sitcom......

the munsters is a family life comedy just like the honeymooners or lucy.
