One thing I am confused about is, does it always have to increment up? Like if I have a player I wanted to use in 1951 on the Hawks and a player I wanted to use in 1952 on the Suns (fabricated examples) and they had a shared teammate, could I used Hawks 1951-52 Tom Smith, Hawks 1951-52 Frank Jones, Suns 1952-53 Sammy Samson so long as Frank Jones played on that 52-53 Suns team? Or does the twist require you to always be ahead meaning once I use my 51-52 season I can't use anyone else from that season even if I want to use some one in that season as my pivot? Does that make sense? How I use my pivot player is really what I am trying to work out here.

Yes the increment is always at least 1 year up. So only 1 player per season. Future versions will have slight rule variations but for now this is how it will work.

More tinkering today...think I'd like to replace my Kareem team with a David Robinson team. So my two teams will be:

David Robinson

Need clarification on the rules. Do you have to go forward in time with a teammate or can it be from the same team and year as well? For example can I go from 15-16 Steph to 15-16 Draymond? Or would it have to be a future Draymond? In the past I've always seen that as being OK as long as you didn't go backwards

A few messages up in response to robusk , you will see the clarification that it must go forward in time at least 1 year. You can’t have two players from the same year.
This is the first time I’ve seen this format being implemented in sim basketball so I don’t know what you are referencing when you say you’ve seen that be ok in the past.
Lastly, the simplest way I can lay it out is pick a player, find a teammate from that roster , twist that teammate to a future season and repeat.
