I'd like to caution owners with using 2020 players for this theme... There seems to be a calculation problem in the draft center on their AVG when it's aggregating it with the rest of your team. I had two scrubs who combined for 3 H/162 in 116 AB/162 from 2020 (Hamilton and Martinez - .026 combined AVG) and when I replaced them with two non-2020 players who combined to go 7 H/162 for 117 AB/162 (.061) my team aggregate
DECREASED by 4 points.
I also saw this same effect with two separate full time players. I had Javy Baez at SS who is credited with 122 H/162 in 599 AB/162 (.203) and replaced him with a non-2020 player who had 127 H/162 in 567 AB/162 (.224) and again my aggregate AVG
DECREASED by 4 points. I then decided to test on one more 2020 player and replaced a non-2020 player who was 148 H/162 for 558 AB/162 (.265) with 2020 Trent Grisham who is listed at 146 H/162 for 541 AB/162 (.251) and my team aggregate AVG
INCREASED.
I went to a different team that I had not begun drafting in and when I only drafted 2020 players their stats were aggregating correctly. However, once I started mixing 2020 players with non-2020 players, they were no longer aggregating correctly. It appears the 2020 players when on a mixed-season roster are being credited with a portion of their original RL H total AND their projected H/162. So Baez, instead of being credited with his 122 H/162 is then credited with 155 H/162 for the aggregate, likewise, Grisham, instead of being credited with 148 hits, when aggregated is also being credited with 155 H/162. (as I was typing this, it occurred to me I should probably test with someone like Soto, to see if it also credits him 155 H/162 - or the equivalent pace - maybe it's using a standard rate for the draft center calculation for 2020 - and it does - I drafted Soto and 2000 Manny Ramirez and 1967 Roberto Clemente) Clemente and Ramirez each
INCREASED my team AVG 10 points over Soto. It appears all 2020 hitters are being credited with the equivalent of a 155 H/162 season when aggregating.
I have also submitted a ticket for this, but since it directly impacts the drafting for this theme, I thought owners should be aware that this may mess up your teams aggregate AVG/OAV balance and I'm not sure how it looks on the team roster pages once drafted, it may be correct there. I do have one 2020 player on a team I can look at for post-drafted, but since most are using the draft center to verify before entering, I thought y'all should be aware.
