#1) The part where innocent black people are arrested more, stopped in cars more, and frisked more. None of that is due to crimes.

#2) We are looking at drugs overall. The fact that white people do meth more doesn't justify the war on drugs.

#3) Prove it. Show me the study please.

#4) Yes. All of that is true. People can have more than one advantage. Do black people with 2 parents do as well as whites with 2 parents?

#5) Other factors at play. False equivalency.

The California Republican Party has disavowed its top-polling candidate to take on Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein this November after it emerged that he has espoused a range of white nationalist views, including calling for a country “free from Jews.”

Patrick Little, a 33-year-old extremist who last week topped other Republican Senate candidates in a poll of the field, told Newsweek on Monday that he admires Adolf Hitler, and would prefer to see Jewish Americans deported to Israel. He falsely denied that the genocide of Jews took place during World War II and incorrectly suggested that Germany was not an aggressor during that conflict.

West Virginia Republican Senate candidate Don Blankenship on Tuesday said he saw nothing wrong with his use of a racial slur to describe the father-in-law of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

“This idea that calling somebody a ‘Chinaperson,’ I mean, I’m an American person. I don’t see this insinuation by the press that there’s something racist about saying a ‘Chinaperson,’” Blankenship said during a primary debate hosted by Fox News. “Some people are Korean persons, and some of them are African persons. That’s not any slander there.”

Blankenship, a former coal CEO who served a year in prison for involvement in the deadly 2010 Upper Big Branch mine explosion, attacked McConnell’s ties to China last week by targeting the family of McConnell’s wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao.

“I have an issue when the father-in-law is a wealthy Chinaperson and there’s a lot of connections to some of the brass, if you will, in China,” Blankenship said on a radio show.

Say, someone refresh my memory. When the GOP standard bearers were Romney, McCain and Dubya, were there all these racist/Nazi/Jew-hating type candidates running for office as Republicans? I can't recall any myself. What the heck changed for the GOP?

it started with the tea party and then true nature of selfish cowardice of most of the old school republicans was thoroughly revealed as they welcomed the tea party and merged with them.
then came trump and a new kind of legal kkk was born.

why do 2 people who converse only with each other keep posting what they said to each other over and over and over again......am i misunderstanding something..is there an amnesia problem im not aware of.
no, they just like to annoy each other and argue. I think they should start a new thread and keep their repetitive arguments in there.

listened to tom thumb.....tremendous...perfect for her...it is one of my favorite Dylan songs from perhaps the greatest album ever...must be top 5 for every rock and roll fan.
I think my favorite Dylan song is Tangled Up in Blue. According to the story my family tells, my older sister (the one who passed away last year) went out with Dylan for a while, and one of the verses in Tangled Up in Blue is about her.

So coincidentally here's a Nina Simone reference I just came across in my reading. I'm nearing the end of War and Peace (approx. page 1150 -- a mere 250 pages to go!) and I took a break and picked up a book of essays I ordered from the library a while ago. The author's name is Hanif Abdurraqib, and as often happens with books I eventually get around to looking at I can't recall why I ordered it (probably read a good review somewhere, or someone told me about it, who knows). In the table of contents I see an essay on Nina Simone. And I come across this passage, which reminds me a little of the New Yorker excerpt I quoted earlier today:

I came of age during a time when I was constantly reminded of the darkness of my skin, the width of my nose, the size of my lips. I am similar to Nina Simone in this way. When I chose to take up jazz at 13, driven in part by Nina’s influence, my white jazz teacher told me that my lips were “too big to play trumpet.” This led to my father marching into his office with record after record of large-lipped black trumpet players, spreading them all out on his desk while I sat in a corner and watched. Louis Armstrong, Freddie Hubbard, Mercer Ellington; my father, born in the era of Nina Simone’s most confrontational living, standing over the desk of a white man who tried to tell his son that he didn’t belong.

I looked up the writer's bio info. Born in 1983. So the above incident would have happened in 1996 or '97.

You are seriously warped man. If you want to debate this then start a new thread. You excuses are annoying. Why is the NBA 75% black?
