Q: 110M theme:

It's not specifically mentioned, but since we roster 25 players, I assume we can have more than one teammate per player selected (at least one player HAS to have more than one teammate).
Oh, yes, you can have as many players from a single team as you'd like as long as you have the same number of players from that team on your Round 2 team.
It's not specifically stated, but can I assume no player's same season can be used in both rounds? I can't use '27 Ruth and Gehrig and then use them as each others' teammates in Round 2, right? But I could use one season of each in Round 1 and then use their teammate seasons in Round 2?
Correct — you can't use the same player twice
I just want to make sure I fully understand this answer - does "you can't use the same player twice" mean year-specific player?

Is it legal to use

a) 1927 Ruth on the first team and 1927 Wilcy Moore on the second team and
b) 1930 Gehrig on the first team and 1930 Ruth on the second?

This would be legal

Hit Type___ Rate / 100AB
Singles 25
Doubles 7
Triples 2.5
HRs 6

Details
Seasons:
Hitters can come from any season. Pitchers must come from 1930 - 2020

Multi-team players: No restrictions (i.e., you can use partial or combined)
Ballpark: No restrictions
300K Exception: Yes
Team Name: Include your chosen hit type
Division Alignment: Random
just to confirm - the description above says "cannot have any player that exceeds the number below for any of the other three hit types" - can any hitter then have 25 1b/100ab, 7 2B/100ab, 2.5 3B/100ab and 6 HR/100ab, but just cannot exceed that number? Or, if I select doubles, must all hitters have less than the numbers above?

my question piggybacks on chargingryno's. is there rounding in the 120 mil league? a player with 5.99 hr/ab is ok in a doubles league but 6.00 is not? correct?

0.10 - 0.19 162M

Effectively, since you can't go above 190M.

Oh, good point. The idea is that, in that scenario, 6.99 doubles is ok and 7.0 is not ok. I will round to 2 decimal places

The player pool for the 120M league seems too small. I feel a lot of teams will be very similar. Or have I read the rules wrong?
3/18/2021 3:07 PM
Not sure how you're reading the rules, but with 120 people we're going to get some variety for sure
3/18/2021 3:48 PM
yeah I built an offense for all four options, and while there were a couple positions for some hit types where there were minimal usable options, that's almost always the case for certain positions at higher caps no matter what the rules
3/18/2021 5:25 PM
I often suspect most people will draft like I do. And it never happens.

Most of the elite options are gone because of that 25 singles per 100 ABs threshold. I’m looking forward to seeing who everyone else drafted. I’m excited for my squad except for my last outfielder

$110M: See Ya Later, Friendo
For each player you select, you must use a teammate of theirs (same team and season) on a 110M team in Round 2.

WW: No
AAA: No
Trades: No

Ballpark: Choose a stadium that one of your players played in during the season of theirs that you use
300K Exception: No
Team Name: No restrictions
Division Alignment: Random
This team came together better than I expected that it might have, it was a fun build trying to keep the second team in mind
3/19/2021 3:53 PM
I've built all 6 teams, will play around with them for awhile till I love them. I really like my $120 and $140 teams, others are gonna get some tweaks
3/19/2021 8:05 PM
Quick question - does no clones mean you can't use different years of the same player, or you can't have multiple of the same year/player combo? For example, can I use a 1923 and 1924 Babe Ruth, or am I limited to just one Babe Ruth?

If the past ten tournaments are any indication, the second team is moot for me.

I'm seriously thinking about not even planning for it... it's like spending a lot on supplies for the nuclear bunker. Better to spend the money on stuff for now rather than plan for that one-in-a-zillion (im)probability.
