Is it bad that I keep checking back hoping they are up? I feel like a meth fiend scouring the pipe for just a little more...

Those of you with too much time on your hands, please feel free to double-check my work... I had a lot of old season to add in, etc, so the room for error was much larger than normal.

In adding all the results since season 37, I got a cool new perspective on how much things have changed in just a few seasons. And yet, they are also much the same. Fun fun world.

Also, I believe Coe, at PIT1, PIT1, PIT2, NT1 has the lowest point total of anyone ever to qualify. But the results are improving, which is nice to see.

I know it's early to make predictions for the NT, but I can't remember a year when Wooden has been so top-heavy. This year's national champion will be Thomas, Beloit, or MBBC... without question. Thomas has a great chance to be the first repeat champion in the history of Wooden D3.

Beloit knocked off both Thomas and MBBC, but that fact has me worried that we can pull it off again. With that said, I think this may be my best team yet.

The Hamline Pipers disagree (with bradshaw).
3/31/2010 1:05 PM
I can vouch for Hamline!

Hamline and Oberlin are very good, and this is not meant to be disrespectful to them or any of the other top 20ish teams in the RPI, but the 3 teams I mentioned are in another league, and any non-conference losses cannot dissuade me. I'd be willing to make it interesting, ike...

I truly believe that Thomas is actually the best team by a fairly substantial margin, but as far as matchups go, Beloit always seems to handle them well. MBBC is really good, but I don't think they can beat Thomas... however, I do think they would win a rematch with Beloit in the NT--when that transfer develops his IQ more--making them the Foreman in the age-old rock-paper-scissors boxing analogy. (Thomas would be Ali, and Beloit would be Frazier.)

No (and I am a betting man), only because I agree that Thomas is on another level. I think I can compete with Beloit and MBBC, though, as proven during the non-con. I'm not even saying I'm as good, despite the win over Beloit, but I am saying that I think I could win a game against them on any given day. Not so sure that's true against Thomas.

Beloit's advantage is generally speed (hence forcing TOs with the press), but he doesn't really have much of a speed advantage over me (at the 1/2/3 spot anyway), and I don't have a guard who play with less than 68 speed and my PG has 99 pass. He does have speed over me at the 4/5, but I have a rebounding advantage, so I think it probably evens out.

For MBBC, their strength is in their SFs, and I can put a guy on them with 48 ath, 72 spd, and 91 def.

For Thomas, I have no answer. Again, I don't mean to slight Beloit or MBBC, I think they both have a great shot at winning it all. I just happen to think I'm in that same category behind Thomas.
