Thanks, redwingscup. I've come to realize how easy it is to manipulate an individual pitcher's W-L record when you have a dominant team in a progressive. This is the same prog team I got
five 20-game winners out of last season (and perhaps could have had six, if I'd been focused on that goal from the start).
The first post of this thread mentioned Ernie McAnally, an ordinary pitcher I had on a 1971 prog. He went 33-4; to this day in that prog (started in 1961, now in 2000) no other pitcher has won as many in a season. Not Koufax, Gibson, Carlton, Clemens, Maddux. Nope, it's Ern McAnally who strides the wins category like a Colossus!
