If you had a part time job that was going to give you a full pension at age 65, and you were at the halfway mark, would you extend your contract to finish it out even knowing that it is sort of a pain in the ***?

I am trying to decide what I should do with the Army Reserve.  I am at the 9 year mark and my contract is ending.  11 more years gets me to the 20 I need, but it is a hassle for sure.

It is like 350 bucks a month, with a bunch of other random benefits that I don't really use, for like 20 hours of work.  Then, probably looking at a couple grand and full medical a month when I am 65.

I have a pretty solid retirement fund I am putting like 10k a year into with my civilian job though.  I feel like that should be enough.  It seems foolish to bail, but if I was going to, this is sort of the last point it would make sense to do so.

Full US government pension and medical is a hell of a lot more secure than 10k a year into a 401k.
