Bill Mueller
Tony Kubek
A nice pairing would be Joe Garagiola and Tony Kubek. I spent my Saturday afternoons with those two guys for years.

DIVISIONS:

I ran this in a google spreadsheet using a random sequence generator and then ranked them 1 to 16. Each person got a number from 1- 16. I then grouped 1-4 as A , 5-8 as B, 9-12 as C, 13-16 as D for the divisions.

Now that all the teams are entered, I am curious. Who went for five balanced teams and who stacked all their best players onto 1-2 teams?

Do to the scoring change, I did try to balance my teams way more than the last version. Even so, my top 4 teams are better than team #5. Here are the weighted average pitching stats for my 5 teams (using best 1500 innings)...

Team 1 --> 2.12 erc#, .209 oav#, 1.07 whip#, 176 erc+
Team 2 --> 2.36 erc#, .215 oav#, 1.06 whip#, 169 erc+
Team 3 --> 2.20 erc#, .212 oav#, 1.05 whip#, 175 erc+
Team 4 --> 2.28 erc#, .210 oav#, 1.05 whip#, 168 erc+
Team 5 --> 2.50 erc#, .220 oav#, 1.12 whip#, 154 erc+

I tried to stack mine more than I did last time, but depending on who you get in your division just about anything can happen.

I did everything I could to equalize all five teams. It’s the same strategy I used last year to middling effect.
