I don't understand how speed ratings are calculated, but on no planet should Trea Turner be only a 79. He was 94/95 his first couple seasons and should still be up there.
It's a variation on the Bill James speed score

The 2022 pitchers might be as popular as 1908, my goodness

That's the quickest release I've ever seen

A good crop of RP. Not many good SP that go beyond 6 IP per appearance, but they're cheap...only Phillips and Helsley are north of $50k/IP.

Diaz is filthy, 17.13 K/9, and only $3.02M

Adley Rutschman looks like a tasty open league cookie, switch hitter with good OBP and a great doubles hitter

Yandy Diaz at 3B is similar

Brendan Donovan makes for a handy Swiss army knife...

Sandy Alcantara looks eerily similar to my favorite OL starter, 2011 Roy Halladay. Definitely gonna be adding him to some teams.

Yandy Diaz gonna get love

Andres Gimenez has really nice range at 2B and SS, can steal bases, and hit pretty well, too. That's a solid player.

Anyone have any favorites so far? My 2022 pitches have gotten off to great starts.

Verlander will get a lot of use. There's a bunch of good choices for bullpen duty.

Yandy Diaz
Jeff McNeil

Another good season from Jose Ramirez

Haven’t tried McNeil yet, he made the 3rd team of 2022 players.

2B/3B/OF have so many quality players for seemingly not that much. A lack of defense across the league has a lot a lower priced hitters.

pitchers do seem priced low, though I know it’s because of normalization- but still a lot of quality without the dynamic pricing driving prices up

Odd placement of Luis Castillo San Diego for 4 IP/162. How is that possible?
10/12/2022 7:53 AM
Who knows, perhaps they're going to allow a 4 inning pitcher in the database. They know he's in there...
10/12/2022 9:21 AM
There's two Luis Castillo pitchers, they manually separated them, so I suppose he's gonna stay. He's quite a novelty for 200k...and the only pitcher in the database with less than 25 IP/162. He'll be a WW cookie for sure.
