SLB Etiquette - Agree, Disagree or Don't Care?

A few years ago I made another owner furious when, in order to rest my staff, I started a mopup pitcher and left him in the whole game (can't recall the score, but we probably lost by 20-30 runs). The owner said I messed up his team with all the extra batter fatigue (the engine will only assign 6 PA max to a batter for any one game, but no matter, 6 PA is still worse than 4 or 5). Since then I've made it a habit to always warn my opponents when I'm starting a mopup -- but only if I plan to keep the mopup in for the whole game. If I start a mopup who's rested and has a reasonable pitch count, then all bets are off since I figure I have a chance (albeit small) of actually winning. Wouldn't want to trick my opponent into benching his starters and then beating him.

extremely courteous.......i do see 7PA...maybe thats only extra innings...........i dont think a warning is required etiquette but a warning is top notch.

I try and do the same thing crazystengel. Would presume it's appreciated by the other guy.

redwingscup, I think most appreciate it, although not everyone sees the message in time (amazing to me but some guys here don't check in 12 times a day!).

dino, you can still see 7 PA (or even more) in a boxscore, but for fatigue purposes WIS will only "take" 6 PA. Every PA after the 6th one is "free" when it comes to fatigue.

it is not being a scumbag for not warning.....i do enjoy the box score when im the recipient.
