I really like the concept of this league. And each new version can have a completely different random franchise alignment, which will keep things fresh and unique.

But I would add one thing. Based on worse-to-first W-L records of the previous season, have a pre-draft DRAFT of the 24 drafting slots. For example, using this version, if I had first pick in this draft, I might choose #5 because I would be able to start my team off with Gooden & M.Scott.

Delighted but stunned to be getting in R12: 1B John Olerud,Blue Jays
Yeah, there's lots of talent at 1b, I hesitated taking Frank Thomas in the 2nd round just because I knew that great players would be available later. But Sale's lack of IP made the decision for me.

Totally agree with you on your 1st sentence. But the won lost thing kind of pushes people out if they win and have a bad pick for the following year, besides you are sure to get a few to drop or new owners in, too complicated. Leave it as it is, most fun doing a draft that I've done

With a $120M salary cap, I think all the draft slots can have success (it's not like some teams are going to end up $10M under the cap). I just don't want to see people stop playing because they feel they keep getting unlucky draws. The owners that win will keep playing, regardless. I'm more worried about the owners that lose not coming back.

As fun as this is at $120M, I'd kinda like to see what it looked like at $80-100M. Then again, I always prefer those caps.

Agreed, I'd like to see this with a $100 million cap.
