Earlier this year, lead in the Flint, Michigan water supply generated headlines. Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders joined local Democrats in political grandstanding. Though the Democrats’ fingerprints were all over the water problems in Flint, and the EPA was involved in the crisis, Hillary and Bernie tried to lay the blame at the feet of Michigan’s Republican governor.

Now another city’s water problems are making news. In Newark, New Jersey, officials last month shut off sinks and drinking fountains at 30 school facilities. Now, according to AP, the amount of lead in the water has been found to exceed the federally recommend threshold in at least eight more city and charter schools. One fountain tested 20 times above the guidelines.

The full extent of the problem is still unknown. What is known is that there’s been elevated levels of lead in Newark schools’ water for years. Lawmakers now say that once they understand how bad the problem is, they can grapple with the costly issue of making repairs including replacing plumbing that’s been in a state of disrepair for ages.

Newark is a one-Party town. Democrats run the place. The children who have apparently been drinking lead in their schools’ water for years are mostly minorities.

Yet both Hillary and Bernie are silent. No political grandstanding this time. Why? There’s no Republican to blame. When it comes to sincere concern both Clinton and Sanders are all wet! And by the way, where are the calls for: ‘what are we doing to our children!? The Democrats are poising the water?’ Why do we never hear that, when their involved?

A new poll released Wednesday by Monmouth University shows Donald Trump getting the support of 52% of likely Republican primary voters in New York ahead of the state’s April 19 primary.

John Kasich trails big at 25%, while Ted Cruz — who won Tuesday's Wisconsin primary by double digits — comes in third at 17%.

For BL...... Regarding NY delegates....

The poll said Trump, a New York City icon, fared strongest in the New York City/Long Island Downstate region. The results showed Trump had 58 percent support in New York City, and Long Island; 52 percent in Upstate New York; and 47 percent in Western New York.

The survey noted the majority of the 95 delegates at stake in the New York primary come from the area of New York City and its suburbs.

Kasich drew 28 percent support Upstate, 26 percent in Western New York, which abuts Ohio; and 22 percent support in New York City / Long Island. Cruz had his best showing in Western New York at 21 percent, followed by Upstate at 15 percent and New York City / Long Island at 14 percent.

“If this result holds in every single congressional district, Trump will walk away with nearly all of New York State’s delegates,” said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute.

It is because he says he's the only one not taking money from big donors. Because, like he says, he's really, really rich.

Well, if he's laying off staff in important states he either isn't rich enough to fund the campaign or he doesn't think he'll win.
You're so gullible.

Donald Trump’s campaign will soon announce the hiring of several “seasoned operatives” and “well-known, established names” to help the Republican front-runner quickly grow his operation and prepare for a likely contested convention, his campaign manager said Wednesday.

Seriously, the BILLIONAIRE FRONTRUNNER shutting down his operation cause he lost in Wisconsin? Why would anyone think he's going to pack it in now? #HatersWannaBelieve

I don't think that's what was said. I think they're implying that the well is running dry and Trump is trying to cut costs.

LYIN' TED IN THIRD PLACE IN MARYLAND.... TRUMP IN FIRST.

Then why is he hiring people to grab delegates right now? Maybe he's running his campaign like a business, using his own money.... Rather than like a politician posting away other people's money. Notice how little the FRONTRUNNER BUSINESSMAN has spent so far? Any difference from the politicians? #relevantbusinessexperience

Hell, I don't know. I'm not implying it. Ask taint/BL. If I were running, I'd lay off workers in every state after the vote. Why the **** do you need a handful of representatives in Iowa today?

And Trump has spent less money because he's a master at self-promotion. I'm not sure that's a good thing for a Prez candidate but he's in the media far more than the others.

LOL - I bet this gets hardly any headlines.... Now if it was Trump. BIASED PATHETIC MEDIA!!!!

Students at a Bronx, New York high school said they would stage a walkout rather than stick around for a visit from Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who they called “misogynistic, homophobic, and racist.”

Cruz was slated to visit the Bronx Lighthouse College Preparatory Academy on a Wednesday campaign stop, but the event was cancelled after students sent a letter outlining their concerns to the school’s principal.

“A group of students will be leaving during 4th period, as act of civil disobedience in regards to the arrival of Ted Cruz to BLCPA. We have all considered the consequences of our actions and are willing to accept them,” the letter read. “The presence of Ted Cruz and the ideas he stands for are offensive. His views are against ours and are actively working to harm us, our community, and the people we love.

The CEO of Lighthouse Academies agreed to cancel the visit after receiving the letter, school principal Alix Duggins told students.

“I believe that I would not have been able to get the visit cancelled without your actions,” Duggins said.

Destiny Domeneck, a 16-year-old student involved in the effort, told the New York Daily Newsthat Cruz’s policies run contrary to the school community’s values.

"Most of us are immigrants or come from immigrant backgrounds. Ted Cruz goes against everything our school stands for,” she said.

LOL.... Cruz blew this when he discredited New York Values... Compare this with Trump speaking to crowds of 15,000 last night.

There are more than 1.4 million people in the Bronx — but Ted Cruz couldn’t even muster 100 at a campaign event in Parkchester with state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., a conservative Christian minister.

Cruz visited the Sabrosura Chinese-Dominican restaurant, where Diaz said the presidential candidate could “listen to the social, economic and spiritual needs of our community” while dining with other clergymen on the eatery’s famed fried rice and plantains.
