And lol.... At this point Trump will get the nomination, brokered or not. It's all media hype from the stop Trump group in an effort to get suckers like you to get their hopes up that he can be stopped. The Trump train won't be stopped until it reaches the white house.
Um, run down the states. The chances of him getting to 1237 aren't great. And, if he isn't at 1237, he isn't getting the nomination.

He's at 754 now.

For WI, WY, CO he's going to get 25-35 delegates total.

60-80 in NY.
30 in MD.

CT, RI, DE, PA 50-60.

30-40 in IN.

35 +/- 1 in NE & WV.

20-30 in OR & WA.

That puts him at just over 1000 on the low end and just over 1050 on the high end heading into June 7th.

He's going to get 51 in NJ and a handful (10?) in NM. He'll get zero in SD & MT.

Best case scenario, he's at over 1100 when they start counting the CA votes. If he vastly over performs the projections he might just squeak by 1237. But, it's also very likely that he gets less than 100 of CA's 172 delegates and is stuck holding his dick with 1200 (or less) delegates.

In that case, Cruz or Kasich of Ryan or Romney or literally anyone else who has ever worn an American flag pin on their lapel and can spell trickle down will get the nomination.

Most recent poll of the US military had Trump as their choice for Commander in Chief.
http://www.militarytimes.com/story/military/election/2016/03/14/military-times-election-survey-donald-trump-bernie-sanders/81767560/
Even if they like him it doesn't mean he should order them to break the law. That's absurd. Even if they (or I) wanted to use greater measures, which I would, having a commander in chief order me to break the law as a matter of course is ridiculous.

The guy does a total disregard for the rule of law, our system, and what a president needs to be.

Like I said, I just don't understand his allure other than appealing to base emotion. He'll be as big of a disaster as Hillary.
"I feel very, very strongly about the need to attack and kill those terrorists who attack and kill our people. I know people who died on 9/11. I will never forget those events. I will use every legal power that I have to stop these terrorist enemies," Trump said in a statement provided to POLITICO. "I do, however, understand that the United States is bound by laws and treaties and I will not order our military or other officials to violate those laws and will seek their advice on such matters. I will not order a military officer to disobey the law. It is clear that as President I will be bound by laws just like all Americans and I will meet those responsibilities."
I'm not surprised he's said things out of both sides of his mouth. On the one hand he says he'd violate the law and the soldiers would just do it because he says so, and on the other he says he'd follow the law. You pick the one you want.

He has said both. Which means you cannot know. Which is it?

You guys are being played. Trump is a fraud.
And you think Trump will ACTUALLY break the law as President without anyone stopping him? Don't be silly. If you believe everything Trump says I have some swamp land in Florida to sell you.
LOL @ moy saying "If you believe everything Trump says . . . "

Nate silver projects Trump to get 1200.

Yeah. 1200 is a problem for Trump. He needs 1237.

Poll: Trump, Clinton score historic unfavorable ratings

In other news, water is still wet.
Precisely why Trump can win the general election.... It's not like he's up against a lovable uncle Joe. Hillary has high unfavorables just like Trump. It's a wash.
Perhaps it would help if you read the article:

In a Clinton-Trump election, Clinton leads the billionaire businessman by 10 points.
And that poll is a moot point because...... Trump hasn't even started on Hillary yet.
And Hillary "hasn't even started" on Trump yet. If she even needs to, since there's still a reasonable chance that he doesn't get the nomination in a brokered GOP convention.
Hillary is Hubert Humphrey. All the intellectuals, students and idealists support Sanders (Eugene McCarthy). Hillary's supporters are either naive, or they're holding their noses. The polling about whether her supporters trust or like her is devastating. Mostly they don't.

For me, it's a question of whether Trump (if he's the nominee) can close the gap. Hillary is passive in this equation. As Axelrod pointed out, maybe the problem is the candidate, not the staff working for her. She's going to be the nominee by default, because there's nobody else but Sanders, and because people feel sorry for her that she didn't get the nomination last time. Remember how she cried about it? I still get a kick out of that Michael Pfleger "Hillary Crying" video.

He'll get 1237, especially when Kasich drops out. If he does fall short with 1200 defecates and with the popular vote there is no way the party pulls that from him. They are not THAT stupid they'd destroy everything. It'd be different if Trump ended up at 750 delegate, far short of 1237. That's not going to be the case though.

His delegate lead might large, but the party won't nominate a sure loser if it can avoid it. He has to be at 1237 to get the nomination.

Actually, it was the Tea Party that destroyed the Republican Party. Trump is just fallout from that.

Mike I really don't know how you can say that with the numbers of people (and Democrats) who are voting for Trump in the primaries, relatively speaking.

What's your thinking? Trump DARES to draw the connection between terrorism and Islam, therefore he has DESTROYED all the GOP's attempts to diversify and reach out to other voters? Cmon.

Trump is a raving misogynist! Trump supports Mussolini! Trump is like Hitler! Trump is a racist! Trump is pro-KKK! It's nice that people have finally called BS on all the PC pimps out there. I'm sick of them. And the people calling "BS" include the minorities on whose behalf the lawn-chair leftists are making the allegations of racism, by the way. African-Americans have been told what's best for them by upper-middle class white lefties for too long (since LBJ) not to be interested in Trump.

Well, the Republican party was pretty busy destroying itself, as tec noted, when Trump arrived. He simply finished the job. It's splintered and will never make in-roads is the party becomes Trump-like. His clowning is not "Presidential". I have NO IDEA why he was able to get away with it and Rubio, responding in kind, saw his chances disappear within minutes.

I am one of those who has said, repeatedly, that the public will tire of the Trump circus for months. Even if it survives the RNC, I think he's soulcrushed by the 2nd worst Presidential candidate Hillary.

WTF?

How dose that make sense?

"I've been told what to do by old rich white people my whole life, so, to get back at them, I'm going to vote for a old rich guy who spends most of his time pandering to his base of working-class, white nationalists"

How can you have NO IDEA. Bernie10025 just explained why it's working for Trump. He's telling it like it is... **** PC!!

Also, your paraphrase of what I was saying is reductionist. The point is that the policies which have been supposed to fix things since LBJ have not worked, and continue to fail. A Trump presidency represents something new and different, and potentially good. The upper middle class lefties are the people who have supported/elected the leaders who have "championed" said policies while things haven't improved much.

Somebody needs to dig out the Moynihan Report and focus on creating jobs. Trump can do that.

My lamp isn't working. I could replace the light bulb but I do that every year or so and it keeps going out. In the spirit of "trying something new and different," I'm going to jam ******* a flat-head screwdriver in the electrical socket and see what happens.
