I think we can safely say that these are the two best switch hitters in the history of baseball
Mickey Mantle (picked 12 times)
Chipper Jones (picked 9 times)

15 of 16 teams have their starting 1B and at least 13 teams have a DH, so Murray (2) will end up with fewer seasons than Roger Connor (5), Lance Berkman (4), Ted Simmons (6), Tim Raines (5) among others.

I think Beltran probably ends up with 6 or 7 seasons drafted.

Mantle and Chipper clear top two though.

Excellent point. There really weren't that many great switch hitters from those early (pre-1900) years. Roger Connor, George Davis and a few guys with one or two decent seasons.

Well, were we are in the draft where there is no way I can give proxies. I will try my best to post late this evening. At least we are on the clock and I will not hold up the draft. Of course unless you guys shoot a rocket up your *** and draft like mad today.
