When you are one spot away from drafting, it's not the waiting that is most difficult... it's the continuous changing of my mind of who I want to take. Knowing that 56 players will be taken between my round 16 and 17 picks makes it really hard to narrow it down to 2 guys, when there are 6 guys I really want..

My struggle is the relief that comes with someone not taking my player, followed by the inevitable second guessing of why no one else wanted that player.

By my estimate, at least 11-12 more starting pitchers will be selected and since there are only a handful of SPs I want, I guess I'd better get my SP4 now.

Orel Hershiser

There's a decent chance this guy would make it back to me next round (why is a top 3 offensive shortstop still on the board this late)? Sure, he's not an A+ range guy, but his defense (C/B) isn't terrible. I've been staring at this guy since the '04 version was taken 10 rounds ago. I can't pass him up anymore.

I now have 9 full-time batters. My starting lineup has the following average stat line...

680 PA, 36 doubles, 9 triples, 23 home runs, .324 avg, .407 obp, .545 slug ($64.3 million total salary)

What's interesting is that all my batters have very strong performance review numbers. In fact, avg & obp are higher than their real life numbers. The average per player is...

715 PA, 34 doubles, 8 triples, 18 home runs, .332 avg, .416 obp, .500 slug. (131 runs created)
