I would throw MBBC on that list as well

norms team is always good but I think he is 4th or 5th due to his reb. but matchups make the nt luck of the draw in most cases

I think the smart money is on Thomas

Thomas is really good, and the usual suspects are up there, but since the beginning of the season, I've thought that Oberlin was the best team in the country.

Remember, this is coming from the man that gave you George Fox last year, and Chicago 2 seasons before (and I didn't predict the season in between, mostly because I thought I had the best team and didn't want to jinx it... and I had a pesky wedding that got in the way).

p-bugs and hydro are the 2 good coaches my conference(little east). The rest of us in there are trying to build good programs - I came back to Rhode Island where i started whatifsports coaching career.

Eh. I think there are four or five teams (maybe more) that could win it. I don't know if there is a good bet to win, although I would pick Thomas if you forced me. I do think it would be silly to discount MBBC - norm is the best gameplanner around (no disrespect to adambrag or fairbanka).

With the right matchup, I think Hamline could win. I really have a ton of experience and I generally just crush people on the boards. We'll see though. I think it should be a really fun tournament this season (fingers crossed that I see you guys in the Sweet Sixteen).

Norm is a great coach i think i only faced him once, in my run with Montclair St, to the championship game a few seasons back i think i won by like 5 points against him his teams are so deep normally and his gameplanning is great its extremely tough to win.

I'm not sure about any other coaches, but yes that is one thing I look at. I generally will continue a series with a team I played in the current season if that works out and is desired--they get top priority for me. The remaining spots I look at their RPI, but more importantly their historical RPI (ie: if they are a good RPI this season but a long-term coach who has no consistency I'll tend to pass unless I see a reason to accept). I also give consideration to the relative strength of my team and my opponents for next season--sometimes I'll add a team I hope will be a gimme win if my schedule is really tough.

I don't intentionally dodge any coach or conference, but I do turn down a lot of offers (I can only take 10) so if you've challenged me and not been accepted it is nothing against you. I definitely give preference to teams I'm playing in current season, that is my overriding top consideration FWIW (and not always to my benefit).

Like bradshaw we may not see eye to eye but I respect him. I always run a good program im just tired of only having 4 humans in a conf. I am here to help the midwest get to the top. I will need a few seasons to bring this crappy team up(obviously). I look forward to playing you.
Now you're getting me wound up. Again, we are 12 independent coaches, not a group-think hive collective (We are Upstate. You will be assimilated.). I shouldn't give a hoot if you respect me or don't, but don't ever presume to "know" what we do without taking the time to get to "know" each of us. I explained my scheduling rationale in response to your other post, won't repeat it here. My guess is you came across differently than intended--at least I hope that is the case and that you don't cast about blanket allegations against people you have not met, site-mailed, or had any kind of interaction with.

A few coaches have contacted me via site mail to ask about setting up games, and I've asked some for the same. Why not try that avenue before calling out a whole conference as dodging you? Maybe there are other considerations...
