As of 1993-94, you may keep up to 2 goalies on your protected player list.
As of the 1999-00 season there is no longer any requirement to protect a minimum number of players at certain positions. You may keep 12 players from any positions. The IR rule is unchanged - IR players count against your 12 keepers.
