7 players, including 4 different starters, will see minutes at SF. Not ideal team building but it worked out in the end. Only using 3 seasons of Aldridge, 2 of Barnes, and 2 of Isaac. Despite the weighted numbers being similar to last season's, I'm not very optimistic about these guys.

5-team weighted avgs: 112.2 usg, 55.0 efg, 75.6 ft%, 59.3 ts%, 135.8 cReb (38.1 oReb, 97.7 dReb), 63.7 ast, 73.5 def, 619.9 3pm, 12.5 tov, 19.6 fouls/48

I thought the frontcourt came together nicely after being worried I'd have enough quality mins after starting with Claxton/Holmes in the 4th/5th. I pretty much punted 3s after the Dame pick. Kinda wish I had went after a good combo guard like Kemba or LaVine when I had the chance. I feel pretty good about this team overall. Good defense and plenty of high efg others around my middling efg stars. I think rebounds will be fine but wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be a negative. This will be the first time I've tried the punt 1 team strategy. Congrats to whoever gets that team in their division. I feel like I have 2 teams capable of making a deep run but who knows.
Alright buddy sounds like you've got those teams built, let's get some league #s out!

This will be an interesting team to track IMO. I think the first seven picks were very good but maybe you lost the plot a little in finishing out the team. Defense is obviously the focus, and you should have a top 5 defense, but I wonder if the efficiency is just not going to be good enough, even with Allen and Ayton (a great PF platoon) buoying it. You're giving a lot of minutes (more than I expected) to Webber and Smith, both of whom will drag efficiency down if they're playing that much (especially because it looks like Webber is playing more than half his minutes at SF, where he will take a hit for positional effectiveness). Conversely a more efficient guy in Porter isn't playing as many minutes as I would have expected.

Reminds me a bit of my Wallace/Erving team last year that was very good defensively but couldn't stay afloat offensively. I think this team is better than mine was but I wonder if it will have trouble getting out of the middle of the pack due to scoring issues.

what about the late tinkering and second guessing? wouldnt be a savage build without that haha

I have really, really missed on this draft. There are more flaws than it is possible to compensate for. I have yet to put a single team together that I think has a chance to be good.

I really haven’t build my teams yet but this is sort of what I expect
PG
D. Murray 3ssns Brandon 3ssns (probably 1 or 2 will close to full minutes. McConnell (maybe filling in as a backup in most seasons. Possibly a starter somewhere.
maybe Bane or Leonard if it works out.
SG
Leonard will likely be starting all 5 with Bane and Jalen Williams as backups. Don’t love Bane but he at least is an efficient scorer with a lot of 3s.
SF
Clarke and horford will be be my main guys with Powell probably backing them up. Having done much of a deep dive into Powell though so maybe he’ll find his way into startin.
PF/C
I think the plan is Moses/Ewing/Turner playing every minute but that could change if horford or Powell end up working out here at all.
round player pos mins pick 19320%
1 Leonard sg 10518 16 54.44%
2 Moses pf/c 16095 33 83.31%
3 ewing c 14937 57 77.31%
4 Clarke sg/sf 5409 88 28.00%
5 horford sf/pf 10459 105 54.14%
6 Murray pg 6437 136 33.32%
7 Turner pf/c 7748 153 40.10%
8 brandon pg 5053 184 26.15%
9 Bane Sg/pg 5028 201 26.02%
10 Powell sf 5864 232 30.35%
11 Williams sg 4499 259 23.29%
12 McConnell pg 4863 280 25.17%

I ended up finding ways to play Clarke mostly at SG. I don't think I've ever had a 10th round pick playing more mins than my 4th. I can't tell if Clarke ended up hurting me or if his 5400 mins are good enough that he was worth it. So far a little disappointed with Brandon, Murray, and Bane. My guard play will definitely be a mess. Just hoping it doesn't sink me.

So far this team's defense has been fine around 71.2. fp48 are my second best ever at 18.38, efg 3rd best ever at 54.51, orebounding is about average for my teams at 36.1 but drebounding is tied for my worst ever at 90.5. 11.79Tov% is my best. I don't love these teams overall. they should be good enough to avoid relegation but who knows some difficult divisions and I'm sure I'll be lucky to survive.

By every metric I run, this is the best five team grouping I've ever done. These are pretty balanced. The major wart is fouls. I'm going to foul. A lot. Not as many threes as I like. Assists are minimal. I can drop dimes a bit to bring up boards on a couple of teams. I know I won't actually get 60.2% ts%, but I've never cracked it before for the 5 team average, and I don't care to try and guess the stats I'll get. That's useless to me. I compare the weighted stats each time, and this is nice. With all that said, Rob says he has me as the favorite, so I'll probably finish 6th at best and be crushed.

Have fun killing this team. I had to start Brunson on one team unfortunately, but my subs should be able to cover my holes well enough since I have enough defense and usage coming into the game at other times. It doesn't hurt that Wilt can play almost every single minute. I feel I am very light on boards for a team that features the Dipper.

Yes, my team names are based on my favorite tracks from The White Album.

Because you didn't use the name of the best song on the White Album "I'm So Tired", I can't help but think you might get some bad luck this season.

Does anyone do evals for savage? I nominate Midge.

I will say the last four spots were a struggle between Happiness Is A Warm Gun, I’m So Tired, Dear Prudence, and Helter Skelter.

Art is so subjective though, that said it is empirically true that Blackbird or While My Guitar Gently Weeps LMAO.

Shouldn’t last seasons champ do the evil lol.

To help with evals here is where I ended up:

PG: SGA(2)/Mookie(3)/D'Angelo Russell
SG: KD(2)/Tyler(3)/English
SF: KD(3)/Noel(1)/Campbell(1)/Tyler
PF: Wallace(5)/McGee
C: Parish(5)/McGee/Bellamy

Creb: 132
Ast: 56.4
Stl: 8.9
blk: 14.9
TO%: 13.2

Probably another middle of the pack. Only thing that stands out are blocks and defense overall pretty good.
