New Feature: Defensive Positioning Topic

- offensive range has no effect on a player's offensive rebounding

- The SimEngine already automatically switches the defense into "prevent 3" mode in obvious 3 point situations

We're looking into some icons to indicate the range designations which would make them easier to include in the draft search.

Did you see the just kidding part that you off of the quote?

Don't take it so personal dude. It's not like I said Cap was a ***** that started the Kermit Washington/Rudy Tomjanovich thing by holding Kevin Kunnert from behind so Kermit could punch him....oh yeah...oops, sorry.

Finally found out who Cap was/is lol

As much as improvements are needed in the bball SIM, this is not one of them IMO. Just more to manage as there is enough already, and this will allow for more ******** when guys lose and complain that the SIM didn't put them in the setting that they wanted. WHy make it more complicated?

Amen, hurley

I'm very happy with this!

Things like this make the game dynamic and not boring for one.

2) it is more realistic

and

3) It makes it more difficult for stat-heads to make models that guarantee them a win. It levels the playing field between stat-head fans and those who play from simply fan knowledge.

Unless you're the unibomber's son and are afraid of change and progress, I don't see why you would be against this.

Josh...I'm not really sure what you mean by level the playing field between the stat heads and those with "fan knowledge." I don't think this will make statistics any less useful when putting a team together.
3/15/2008 1:59 PM
all the stat heads need to do is calibrate the effects of the new mod and they are right back in the game
in fact I would guess this plays into their hands even more

What about players who, i would think, because of the position they played would classify them as "Low-Post" players, but they actually were killers from the outside......How will this affect them???? What about guards that were killers on the box??????

Currently, you can see which offenses and defenses are being played by looking at the play-by-play. Will you also be able to see if the defense is a +3 or -3 when looking at the play-by-play?
3/15/2008 10:33 PM
I think they should make it so since irl you would be able to see what they did - but who knows?
