Well, I hate this pick... but he is the last semi-usable Alexander.

Well, schwarze made my decision easier. Was sorely tempted to take that Alexander, but now I have no tough choice here.

Quick question: What do the following players all have in common?

1966 Joe Torre
1966 Hank Aaron
1981 Ron Guidry
1981 Dave Righetti
1981 Goose Gossage
1931 Lefty Gomez
1909 Eddie Plank
1909 Frank "Home Run" Baker
1939 Ted Williams

1939 Bobby Doerr
1939 Joe Cronin
1931 Mickey Cochrane
1930 Frankie Frisch

Answer: These were some of the players I had to leave off of my roster because of the manure from the last rounds of the draft that have to be there. I'm sure others have similar stories - or I just haven't figured out the nuances of the 16 x 16 draft yet.

Well, the positive spin on that, juice, is that you've kept those guys off everyone else's rosters, too.

You're right - I guess there's a bright side to every cow pattie. (It really did hurt leaving Ted Williams off though...)

Is there a bright side to a cow pattie, though? This doesn't feel like the right metaphor. Though I acknowledge not spending much time around cow patties, so maybe I'm missing something.
