Mine, in this context, is a group that gets treated differently. I'm part of a group that Liberals treat very differently. They want to hand me nothing. (Which I'd be more than OK with, if they didn't want to hand everything to everybody else.)

Wow, I missed so much in just a few hours.

moy - nothing in that mclatchy link says it was the economy. Which makes sense considering unemployment was at <5% when the election happened.

mike - of course we want the president to fix the problem. Obama was. The economy was turning around and did end up turning around completely. Also, Obama didn't spend 8 years blaming Bush for everything but we, as a country, will always point to the Bush administration when discussing the recession that started at the end of 2007. That's different than Trump promising to do a **** load of stuff in his first 100 days, doing almost none of it, and then blaming everyone else for his inability to get it done.

tec - I don't think anyone knows exactly why Clinton lost. But I am sure that anyone who points to one and only one reason is wrong. My guess is that she lost due to a combination of things. And yes, that combination includes (but is not limited to) sexism, Comey, and Russia.

all3 - you are correct that we treat stupid people differently than smart people but stupid people do not get to claim that they are a minority. Even if you feel like we're mean to you because of it.
