Anyway, back to the main theme of this thread:

My daughter turned me onto Olivia Rodrigo. And Olivia Rodrigo is very much worth being turned onto.

I suggest starting with "Brutal" and "Good 4 U". Fine songwriter and performer.
Steve - She is a true young talent and I would expect her to have the success of Dua Lupe and Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish - whose music I personally love.
Olivia sometimes sings with the lamenting quite voice of Billie Eilish and at other time can sound like Allisette morrisette or Taylor Swift.
she is only 18 and has a great future. She writes her own songs and they don’t lack for melody and hooks.
her music falls mostly into the pop rock label.
As she gets older I think there will much maturation to her music.
interestingly her songs of teenage angst are directed to her audience because I doubt she is singing about herself always when she claims she is unattractive and friendless.
She will definitely be a sex symbol as her career progresses.
Most of the songs are more ballads. Brutal rocks and is even pop punk and is great.
Steve - you really love your daughter.

There is only 1 answer to the TV theme songs IMO. The Beverly Hillbillies.
EDITED to add. There are (at least) more than one........ I was wrong. It happens occasionally. hahaha I thought of another.
There was a little watched TV show called Party of Five. I never watched it. BUT they used
The BoDeans "Closer To Free" as the theme.
Great song. Great Band.

Juliana Hatfield once lead singer of Blake Babies has a new album - Blood.....I’ve heard a few tracks and it is really good. I’m looking forward to hearing the rest.

buy cds - support your artists and keep your local record/cd store and new music alive.

Wolf Alice announced US tour dates this morning and bought two tickets via presale for the Showbox next to Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA on October 25. Whoohoo!

Quick sidenote about the Showbox, saw Stereophonics there in 2008, and after the show the entire band came out to the bar. I bought Kelly Jones, the lead singer, two Heinekens!

Naturally, I've been listening to the new Wolf Alice album since Friday morning. Wanted to share the best song on the record, IMO.

I'm not going to try and figure out the meaning behind this song, will leave that to your discretion and judgment!

Nice list, thunder! Lennon's "Nobody Told Me" is pretty underrated, nice to see it included.

A trio of White Album songs not on your list that I really love:

Long Long Long
I'm So Tired
Happiness is a Warm Gun

Remembering RIP Christina Grimmie. Has it really been 5 years since she was senselessly taken away ? Whether live or a cover, still tough to get thru her ironic Whitney tribute.
So goodbye, please don't cry

On the above list thanks for adding solo songs.
the Beatles solo output is outstanding and had they continued there would have been so many white album and let it be quality albums for many many years.
