Well, since we're now playing the "don't believe" game, I think you're full of **** when you said you weren't less comfortable around a specific group who was shown night after night rioting and breaking every law on the book. It's just common sense to be a bit more wary. I can't recall how old you are or where you live but I know you weren't just strolling down the LA streets like nothing was happening when the Rodney King riots were on the news every night. And I think you know it was a hell of a lot safer to be a young black male on those streets than a middle-aged white man.

There are 30-something million blacks in America. There were, what, a couple thousand actually rioting after Ferguson and Baltimore? No, that didn't make me uncomfortable around a random black person I might encounter 1500 miles away from the nearest actual riot.

Halfway across the country, I heard "RODNEY KING!! RODNEY KING!!!" chanted every time a white cop had pulled over a black man in a public area. Are you saying people are unaware or unbothered by events 1500 miles away? Because, again, I don't believe you. You're bothered by all of them. Unlike you, some are more prone to do something besides yammer on the internet about it.

It's interesting the way BL lumps all black males (and all white guys too) together. There's a big difference between ANY guy wearing a suit or khakis and a guy wearing torn jeans and a gang-related t-shirt/bandana ensemble. I suspect he's deliberately conflating the two poles in an effort to make a point.

There are 30-something million blacks in America. There were, what, less than 100 unarmed blacks killed by cops last year. I'm pretty sure those 100 shootings made many black people across the entire country fearful and/or hateful towards random encounters with cops. So why wouldn't 1500 black rioters in Ferguson and/or Baltimore not instill fear of random encounters with blacks across the country?

I'm not saying people are unaware of events across the country. I'm saying I'd have no reason to fear a black person just because there is a riot going on somewhere in the country.
