kinoa crushing with kemba getting major mins in season 1 definitely popped into my mind when making the pick

i think he was also the one who started the "russell westbrook is not only acceptable in savage, but might be a valued asset" thing as well

and a big ol fuuuuuuuccckkk yooooouuuuu to ash for taking spoon

passed on him last round thinking i had a better chance to get him over okongwu in round 11 since he wasnt even drafted year...now i have a huge 34 mpg hole at sf and the options are looking grim...certainly wont be finding any 8/22 reb% with 85d and low fp48 sfs that play those kind of mins

bailey howell was in interesting option with that 80 d and solid efg/reb...so a slightly smaller fuucckk yoouu to midge as well

If Butler is seriously injured he will perform surgery on himself immediately after the game.

its always a good feeling to finish building that first team using any season you want...everything looks so awesome and no one will ever beat your team...then reality hits and you realize everyone else has a team just like this and you also might need to pull some of these seasons to help the other 4 teams

now...where to put this team to avoid the other best teams...im scared of world 3(1 in 4 chance of ben)...1 and 5 seem like the lazy spots...2 and 4 the obvious sneaky spots...hmmm yup ive already wasted too much time thinking about this...lets just do what we did the last two seasons...let random.org decide

Real World: Kevon Looney is a good rebounder at the center position.

WIS: Kevon Looney is the greatest rebounder at the shooting guard position.

Lillard/Spida/Rozier
Iguodala/Melton/Buse
Marshall/Ed Davis/JJJ
Kemp/Dirk
Gobert/Kemp

Well, by the numbers this squad is unequivocally better than last season. But as has been discussed, I'm guessing most teams have powered up a little. I don't love the high fouls, and I'll be in a bit of trouble against opponents where Dame and Dirk have nowhere to hide. But the shooting is there, FTs look like a strength for once, and it projects as the best rebounding squad I've ever put together in Savage, by over 3%. Should be an interesting year.

Conley/Lever/B Davis
KD/E Jones
Nance/KD/Powell/Humphries
Gasol/Capela
Capela/Bynum/Lanier

For the benefit of evals, plan is to have 2 KD 99% seasons full time SG. Three KD 97% seasons start SG and then back up Nance and pull in Eddie Jones to reduce is time at SG. Capela will start but at times move behind Gasol for Lanier and Bynum who are 97/98% pf. Maybe a little Humphries there too. The draft started off really well in terms of what I was hoping for in this build. Gasol was a change in direction for me, trying to focus a little more on well rounded offensive players rather than D. Same with Conley. I think I pushed it too far with Bynum. There were probably better options. Think I like the Eddie Jones pick, we'll see. As I settled on the 5 Durant seasons and looked at what was out there for SF, I thought getting his defense and allowing KD to play some backup SF was a nice way to minimize the KD 97%. I planned to upgrade a season or two later but couldn't find anyone I really liked better than Eddie Jones with the D I was looking for. There was one undrafted guy close. Happy to get my guy Lanier and Lever I felt I could afford with some of the shooting I had. Powell will back up Nance at times, Davis will probably only plan one season as a back up and Humphries will sneak a couple seasons in. I don't know that I did enough in the middle of the draft, but excited to see if this team holds up.

That’s an incredibly clean team. I dig it
5/1/2023 9:36 AM
I think it’ll look something like this:
Starters Bench
PG 4x Magic, 1x T. Porter 3x Porter, 2x Penny
SG 1x Penny, 1x Marion, 1x SGA,
1x Magic, 1x R.Harper
Lots of SGA and Penny. Some Marion.
SF 4x Marion, 1x B.Bridges Some Amare, some
Claxton, some Bridges
PF 3x Jonas, 2x Amare Some Jonas, some Amare, some Marion
C 4x DeAndre, 1x Claxton 1x DeAndre, 3x Nurkic, 1x Jonas

Really digging my SG platoon. I don’t think I’ve ever started 5 different players at one position before. They combine to make a pretty good Voltron imo.

D.Wright / P.Beverley / T.Jones
J.Erving / J.Lamb
J.Collins / D.Gafford / M.Williams / M.Kleber
B.Adebayo/ J.Collins / K.Love
T.Duncan / K.Love

I assumed while drafting that Bam would be able to get his all defensive team bump so I hope that gets updated soon

I don't think we're getting them. Last year the all defense teams were announced around May 20. You may catch some flack if you dragass getting you team in hoping for the update

First disadvantage of a super fast draft???

I haven’t Done a deep dive into my team but I imagine this is mostly how it will go.

doncic-Westbrook
moncrief-Hayward-Johnson
outlaw-McCray-
Camby-washington- Przybilla
KAJ-A Sabonis

im not sure if Washington/McCray/Johnson will move around in positioning at all. I know they can.
