Wait, what? I thought you were so confident in Trump?
Democrats won't even know what hit them when Trump goes 1 on 1 with them... Much like the blows Establishment Republicans are taking from him.
I am confident.... I don't care to make bets on the subject matter.
Ok. Good luck. You don't even think trump will get the nomination. And you're a huge trump supporter.
I do think trump will get the nomination and I do support him... But I also like many of the other candidates. Cruz, Rubio, Carson, Fiorina to name a few.
You like them and you think one of them (or Bush) will get the nomination.

The Hillary email ordeal is only getting better and better....

3 nations tried cyberattacks on Hillary Clinton's private email server: AP

Nobody cares. Just like no one cared about the Benghazi "scandal."
10/8/2015 10:55 AM
The only people who don't care are those that don't care about politics in the first place, and those in the base who will vote D no matter what.  Some that will vote D no matter what do care, but it's still more important to them to keep the other party out...

FWIW, having a clearance myself, the email thing is a very big deal in real terms.  What could happen to me won't happen to Ms. Clinton though.

That's not entirely true.   I'm far from either of the people you mention and my interest in this scandal is lukewarm at best.

IF it was as bad as it's being made out to be by GOP/GOP supporters, she'd be looking for a passport to get out of the country before being locked up.   So, since she's cracking jokes about it, the repercussions can't be very strong.   To me, this is akin to "Obama isn't a US citizen" nonsense.   Maybe Hilary is teflon but it just doesn't seem to be something that will derail her Presidential bid.
10/8/2015 11:38 AM
I think it speaks to her lack of transparency and to the fact she will lie. Makes her look like a politician, the kind so many people can't stand.

The jokes she is cracking about the subject is much like blago laughing and saying 'hey, the sun is shining over my head' regarding the federal investigation on him.... And then the feds move in and arrest him the next day. Politically, Hillary NEEDS to make this look like no big deal. I would be doing that too if I were her. I do think it's way more serious than you and I hope she is indicted.

Imagine if I used my own server to discuss your banking records since I'm in finance? How would you feel? Would that be important, not important? Either way, National Security is way more important than miket's finances.

Sounds like Kevin McCarthy just dropped out of the House Speaker race.... Great news.. Now hopefully a real conservative can take Boehners old role.

Two issues, even for people that pay attention:

1) Scandal fatigue. The GOP has been crying wolf for years: Benghazi, The AZ guns, Obama's Birth Certificate, etc. These fake scandals wear people out. People are still ******** about Benghazi and the GOP has admitted that "scandal" was nothing more than a political crusade to get Clinton.

2) Is the email scandal even a scandal? Yes, she should not have had the separate email server but, other than that, there isn't much going on here. Classification isn't a black and white situation. Information paraphrased and sent to her in an email may or may not be classified, but if the info isn't marked as classified and comes from an agency outside the state department, there's no way for Clinton to know it's classified. She only committed a crime if she knowingly mishandled classified info. Good luck proving that.

Most of the country doesn't know very much about the email scandal. Just wait til the negative ads start taking over voters favorite TV and radio stations. Easy way to serve her up in the general election. If she's not indicted, then the Republican nominee should have no problem showing that she's clearly not transparent and that she fulfills the very word people think of when they think of Hillary...a 'Liar'.

She's dropping in the polls already (and BL says its not from the email scandal) so imagine when that picks up more steam and she can't hide from the issue like she has.

Most of the country doesn't know very much about the email scandal?   What?   Does most of the country never watch the news?  Read a paper?   Talk to other people?

I'd want to know if I was damaged by you discussing my banking records.   More importantly, I'd want to know with whom and why.    And while HC shouldn't have been using her own server, I think people are more concerned with what became of it?   If the answer is "nothing", people will say/think "She won't do that again because she knows we're watching now!!!"

If she doesn't get indicted, and I seriously doubt she will, no one will care.

She's dropping in the polls like every candidate does at one time or another. According the the Real Clear Politics poll average, the only GOP candidates polling above 10% are Trump, Carson, and Fiorina. I promise that none of them will be the GOP nominee.

You put WAAAAY too much stock in primary polls 13 months out.

In October 2011, Herman Cain was polling at 30%.
In December 2011, Gingrich was polling at almost 40%.
In early 2012, Santorum was polling above 30%.

Polls today mean almost nothing.

I like the way Trump is pacing himself. The guy is much smarter than many give him credit for.

"Trump laid out for the first time in detail the elements of what will be the second chapter of his 2016 bid, signaling an evolution toward a somewhat more traditional campaign. Trump is preparing his first television ads with a media firm that is new to politics. Melania, his wife, and Ivanka, his daughter, are planning public appearances highlighting women’s health issues to help close Trump’s empathy gap with female voters.

Trump is also publishing a book and planning to roll out policies on reforming the Department of Veterans Affairs and on trade and China’s currency manipulations. And he is deepening his political organization far beyond the early states, with top advisers vowing that his fight for the nomination will go all the way to the floor of the Republican National Convention."

And as to the money issue for Trump..... I had said in the past I don't think he's had to spend a lot so far. He's $20 million under his mid-September TV budget with $0 spent to date

"Trump, who is mostly self-funding his campaign, said he had originally budgeted up to $20 million through mid-September for television advertising. But so far he has not spent anything to go on the airwaves, since he is so often on them: “It’s been all Trump, all the time. ....If you had an ad, people would OD.”"

No one believes that you think Trump will win. You won't even make a meaningless bet to back him up.

I like to leave betting to the old timers ******* away social security checks at the casino. I myself don't bet much anymore.... No need.
