I’ve only been playing WIS since November 2020 so I have not seen a full year cycle yet. Does anyone know when the 2020-2021 NBA season will be available in the draft center? The regular season ends on on may 16th. Also, does anyone know if the play - in tournament will count towards the regular season statistics?

discounting the times the former admin took months to post the new player seasons (once until after the next season was underway believe it or not) WIS usually waits for the All-D teams to be named

but this is a new day with new folk in charge so who knows

With the new logic they built in a couple of years ago, the new seasons appear to drop no longer than a week after the end of the end of the season. The past few seasons have been next day or day after. They will adjust defensive ratings once the All-D teams come out

The new seasons will most likely drop on May 18th.

At least in some years they've released them within days then updated D ratings once all-defensive teams are announced.

We're gonna get some fun seasons, whenever they do drop:

• Monster Embiid year (by far best efg% with huge usage) albeit probably only about 1800-1900 minutes (not sure exactly how many as totals have to be adjusted to per-82 games in the shortened season)
• Zion with insane usage/efg%; but probably only playable at PF/C with really low defensive boards
• Insane Jokic season that pairs the elite efficiency of his earlier seasons with the high usage of his later seasons, plus highest assist% of his career
• The Brooklyn Big 3 all with uber-efficient seasons, albeit in limited minutes
• Mikal Bridges who, with the likely all-defense nod, will become a premier 3-and-D wing in the SIM
• Clint Capela with bonkers rebounding numbers and plenty of blocks; with a solid enough D rating he'll be a coveted board lord, probably in the range of 2100-2200 minutes
• The minutes won't be all that big, but this will be easily Jimmy Butler's best sim season, assuming he gets the deserved high D rating
• Michael Porter Jr. - oh my

100%. There will be some real interesting adjustments and curious if we start to draft before the D rating adjustments and then get them prior to the season.

Some current players will definitely move up the draft board with another season on their resume. Doncic, Adebayo, JCollins...

Any word on when the 20-21 seasons will drop?
