Well boys and girls it has been a while since I have been here with you fine folks.  A bad accident left me with about an 18 month Steve Young concussion, but I am fine now.  Many of you don't know me, and thus don't care...and that is cool.  I will be back on here playing and being dead money in theme leagues.  I do feel the need to bloviate on some of the changes that I see on this site:

1.  Defense ratings used to be bad, now they absolutely suck!  Nobody goes over 96 and Olajuwon, I think has only 3 such seasons, and none for Russell whom of which was one of the greatest defenders of any era.  I can see why a guy like Russell wouldn't get a high score considering that he would let Wilt have his way for 3 quarters and then utilize the rope-a-dope to shut him down in the fourth.

2.  42 Mil is now too low.  Period.  Will not here arguments.  One of my old teams was good for 52-62 wins per season and now costs 5.5 Mil over the cap.  Wilt went down, so what.

3.  Where did everyone go?  Did they get in bad car wrecks?  Did the economy and Obamacare make everyone run away?  Why does it take forever for ODL, Gym Rat, and the other great leagues take to fill?  Do people suck or is it that the sim has started to suck or is it a combination of both?

4.  Is Seble still here?

5.  Does WiS still hate us?

Just wondering.  These are my rants.  I will now post something in the who I am area so you can understand my infatuation with Olajuwon and Bird and the overall hate I now have Miami 3:16.

We have been having attrition for years and very few if any new owners.  The new salaries accelerated that process.

4.  Is Seble still here?

Yes.  He mainly works on Hoops Dynasty.

5.  Does WiS still hate us?

We are still the redheaded step-child of WIS.

Thanks ncih.  I have already thrown my hat into some theme leagues so I am looking to burn more money and get back to playing.

Welcome back, hoss.  Earlier this week I was just wondering (again) where and how you were.  Really glad you're okay enough.  I have lost some loved ones to bad car accidents and nearly lost a few more, so I don't take news of them lightly.  You've returned at a great time to rant and howl about the sim and everything it should/could be.

wow man, good to see you back.  I was just getting started here when you had your accident.

I don't think you'll find many people who will argue with 1 & 2.  Glen covered 3-5 very well.

Welcome back, dude.  You were very dominant around here with ol' Bill.  He's a tough guy to win with now though.  Glad you're alright.

well its good to see your back and alright i don't know you but i'm new to basketball i'm a baseball guy a got a couple of free teams in baskeball and to be honest can't make a team takes a while my friend uses my account he likes the basketball i've made a few i'm not that good like all the guys that have been there but hang in there hope things are alright for ya

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!! Welcome back man...we honestly thought you were dead!  Literally smiling from ear to ear over here as weird as that may sound, but it's great to see you man.  Take care.

Also just curious, did they honor that GC that I sent you because I had asked for a refund of/for it earlier this year, since I had originally sent it on 7-14-08 and the sitemail remained unopened...let me know.

Thanks c19 it's great to be back. I saw this gc yesterday when I logged back in but it was not honored.

I am going to be in a few leagues including bowis so I am looking forward seeing you in a few of these leagues

I'm so happy you're allright and back!!! I had really feared the worst had happen to you...

I don't have any comments on the present state of this game, It would be too negative... except that i agree with everything you posted to open the thread. I haven't had a team in something like a year and the only reason I have one going now is because it was a freebie... And it was a no-brainer for me, I just picked all five players that were in the 1976 ABA first slam dunk contest and filled up with as many minutes as the current salaries would allow for scrubs, which ain't much...

The one positive change I noticed was that the increase cost for offense efficiency has made defense more relevant, which I like.

Glad to see you're allright!!
