Average AAA since the update Topic

I play mostly open leagues with a few themes thrown in. Is it just me or since the last big update did the AAA pitchers take a huge nosedive? AAA hitters seem the same or better, but seriously it seems like 80+ percent of the time I get these 1/3/2 guys who can't keep their ERA below 10. If I do get anybody decent they are always around 30 IP guys. I remember pre-update at least once in awhile you'd strike gold and get somebody who threw 60-80 quality innings - that seems to never happen anymore.

I've stopped considering AAA P's when drafting and now just draft extra quality IP. I'm not complaining, its my job to draft a decent team - just seems like out of nowhere AAA P's got considerably worse. Did they drop the $$ values?

prices actually decreased overall... BUT, the price scale changed to something where deadballers are cheaper and modern guys are more expensive, so maybe that skewed the distribution somehow? in theory you'd be getting a greater proportion of deadballers. which i would think would help... but maybe not.

Well with a 10-10-10-B guy I only got this out of him.

OAV stinks, but 2 BB's per 9 aint bad. I haven't seen 80 IP out of anyone since the update. That does suck for 10/10/10 though. Would have hoped for much better.

I havent noticed much difference they never were any good except for the occasional low IP gem. if you got several good ones in the past you had a run of good luck. AAA hitters have gotten better but doesnt help much because of the min PA requirement.

I have found that AAA (post update) have been no better than mop up. The position players have been better than pre-update.

I play mostly progressives with below average AAA. I've found they're better hitters but worse fielders.

I agree. The pitchers should be counted on for nothing more than mopup duty.

That would make sense since the price of hitting went down and the price of fielding went up.

There are exceptions I'm sure, but I sure haven't had any.

All my AAA pitchers, with the exception of one (and it's early) have been garbage since the update regardless of their values.

Funny, on my last team I got my two best AAA pitchers ever. I don't have the names (and i am not in the mood to ID them again), but one came out to a 40-50 IP pitcher around a 1.25 WHIP and the other around an 80 IP pitcher in the low 1.3's WHIP. In the regular season they pitched a combined 6-5 with 12 saves. One had a 3.44 ERA and the other a 4.30 ERA.
