Forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere else. I'm relatively new and wasn't able to find anything on the topic.

How do you use Tandem pitchers? I understand what it is and wanted to use this tactic in a league recently when I had a fatigued starter. I wanted this starter to throw 60 pitches or so and then get him out and have the second guy relieve him and throw 40 pitches. When I tried to enter the pair as Tandem 1A and Tandem 1B the request was not allowed. I got a message saying something about swing pitchers and tandem pitchers were allowed but not together and that tandem pitchers could not be followed by a regular rotation spot.

Can someone enlighten me a bit? I would like to be able to use this tactic in certain situations.

You have to use the tandem on your highest-numbered starter.  IE you can go starter 1, starter 2, starter 3, tandem A/B 4, but then you can't have a Starter #5.

Also, make sure you have both set to tandem. I often accidentally select Starter 1B instead of Tandem 1B.
