I really never paid attention to how long it was generally taking to fill an open league.  I joined an open league about a week ago, not to play but to see how long it would take to fill.  After six or seven days there are 5 players.  Does anyone have a better idea of how long it was taking recently to fill a league?  I think a couple of years ago they were filling quickly,  I think like 3-4 days.

With the new changes and the free games being given out, the time frame will have really changed in the last month. If yours is taking that long to fill out, that isn't sounding too good for the sim.

Didn't think about the free games.  Looks like NBA might be gone and they don't care.

They seem to think HD is infinitely more important.  I'm a sports fan, not a recruiter / administrater fan; I just want to put together teams and play.  I'd think I'm in the majority, but never know it from the way WIS acts.

Well, I checked a league Sun night.  Had 5 in, now it has 13 in.  OLusually adds about 5-7 ppl per day, as it has for years.  Not sure what happened in that league hoosier.

Not defending WIS, but people are still signing up.  After the free teams go away there should be a drop off.

So far, scanning a bunch of division-leading open league rosters, I'm seeing a precipitous drop in 3s, some lowering of Efg%, and higher-than-before PFs.

And rosters built around some older players who were scarcely getting drafted before the salary change.

all four division leaders in my open league drafted less that 18000 minutes

I've been seeing that, too.  Suddenly the rookies can play real minutes.  I don't like it.  I'd just as soon do away with the "rookies," the existence of which just provides a bizarre cheat factor.

That is an outrage.  This is their fix for salaries being too high?  Better rookies?

I guess its "What If MJ and Wilt played alongside the best imaginary ballers of all time"!

I have an idea, let's penalize everyone who read and followed our advice about how many minutes to draft and reward those few who ignored it by suddenly and without announcement generating all rookies with C and D ratings for every team

more cluelessness from the folk at WiS, ridiculous

Have the agree with this, its ridiculous that's the fix.  If they can only reduce the salaries for players below 1500 by 30% we would be good to go.  But what the hell do I know?  WIS seems to know better

I have 4 free teams across my aliai, and I have no will or intention of playing this game...that speaks volumes about the sim I think

Maybe other people got decent rookies, but all 3 of mine had F stamina. First time I think that ever happened, and I needed to use my rookies this season. Oh well. Unless I win a championship and get 2 free games, I'm out.

Draft enough minutes, like you should, and this wouldn't be a problem.  Wonder how many of the owners who cried for Rookies to be added are still around, and how many have realized that all Rookies do is create problems.  Get rid of the stupid things.
